We're performing an upgrade to get our forum software onto the latest version, which includes some bug fixes and a couple of new features.

The new features are thread tags, search within a thread and similar thread search across or community sites when you are creating a new thread.

Similar threads* are populated by Google Custom Search, the same way as the universal search on our site. This will aid in finding threads with a similar topic so that discussion around that topic is gathered into one main thread. It also helps with avoiding duplicates and helping users find solutions faster.

Tags will be visible on the threads they belong to, as well as from the list of threads on each forum. If clicked on, you will navigate to a list of threads that all contain the same tag. Tags can also be subscribed to so you can receive notifications on when new threads containing that tag are created. We are currently populating the list of tags available for use, so please make your requests in the Tag requests thread. Tags are specific for the forum they are used in.

Search within a thread is something that we've all been missing, particularly in threads that span over multiple pages.

The upgrade will take place on Tuesday Feb 14th at 9 am CET and shouldn't require any downtime unless we run into a problem during deployment. If you run into any issues after the upgrade, please let us know by creating new threads in this forum.
