That top can then be fed into a StairRepeater and related so the step is modified as the res and run of the stair change.

And feeding the StepRepeater's StairProfileShape Output into an Extrude gives:

Just release it directly into my vein please!

I hope the code is customizable to bypass the editor entirely though

Monkeying with the nodes a bit gives us a new library item: RicketyStair!

The ramp height is related to the height of the floor deck:

So if this is in Beta is there any way I can try it out? It's directly relevant to something I'm doing in the next few days.

This is not relevant to anything I am currently working on. ;). But I have been following it with great interest, and love the potential for future projects. I too would love check out the beta if possible. thanks!

Thanks for your interest in AX, @angrypenguin and @zombiegorilla! We will have one more boat of beta inductees departing for our slack.com site (where the beta team has been downloading and commenting on builds since June - (has it been that long!?)) this Monday morning. If you are interested, please PM me with your email addresses so I can send you invites.

Anyone else who is interested (and who hasn't done so already), PM me you email as well. The goal of this (hopefully final) beta push is to comment on how the QuickStart Guide and tutorials help one step into AX (as well as reporting any bugs, though I can't imagine there are still some crawling around here at this point, hehe ).

While there is always more work to be done, I am shooting for a for a Dec. 5th v0.9 submission to the AssetStore! ;)

This was the first time Robot Kyle needed to take a leap of faith... and somehow he thought it won't be the last either.

Thanks, @angrypenguin! I must say, it has been fun to work on this Quick Start Guide. But as you can see from he support site at archimatix.com, the manual needs lots more work (not to mention the empty Features page). AX is a biggish system (my own fault for indulgently adding feature after feature over several years without releasing!) and will need a large manual to cover it all. And all this is before the runtime API!

I am not sure what it is about AX that drives me so, but, as much work as it has been, and as relentlessly torturous as the beta testers have been to date (I know you guys on the new crew won't be all that bad, right?), I am increasingly passionate about it... or maybe its just Robot Kyle's reality distortion field generator that I can't seem to get any distance from!

LOL - yes, but, @AdamGoodrich, despite a similar experience of feature development indulgence, you have somehow managed to roll your amazing inventions out of the garage for all the world to benefit from, while I can't even figure out where Robot Kyle has hidden the garage door opener!

Robot Kyle always admired the 20th-century human architect, Le Corbusier, who called the house a "machine for living." As Kyle contemplates Le Corbusier's famous Dom-ino House, he thinks it is rather a "house for living machines!"

    Voila_Capture 2016-11-21_03-16-11_PM.jpg

Of course, Kyle has been known to use parametric flexibility to elaborate on human designs...

Just trying to get the Repeater section of the Quick Start Guide done before inviting the next beta crew in. Should be soon!

So i have been away from Unity and for a few months due to my real life job keeping me busy. Things are slowing down and so I am able to pick things up again. One of the very first things I did was to stop in and check out how this project was going.

Looks even more amazing then when i left. Dying to throw money at someone and make use of this. Lots of fun ideas.

@S_Darkwell suggested doing some demo videos featuring fly-throughs of Archimatix environments. Here is my first try using the Domino House. Many thanks to @AdamGoodrich for making Pegasus so easy to use for camera paths - this was also my first Pegasus path!

Been looking for something that can assist in the layout of cities/village layout for a long time. There's pretty much no asset that can really achieve that. So I'm watching with great enthusiasm.

Does December 2nd still seem plausible for the first release?

Hi @Blueberry - Archimatix will not have any nodes to specifically help layout cities or villages in the first release, other than the examples posted on this thread, which are somewhat rudimentary. The focus for now is on parametric objects, including buildings, furniture, and spaceships. Down the road, there will be distributors that go beyond the Repeaters that use city generator methods to not only place instances of parametric buildings, but vary them as well.

Per the release, I am going to sneak in another week of documentation creation, so hopefully we are looking at the end of next week to submit to the Asset Store.

With the above platform duplicated on a GridRepeater with Jitter and also a GridRepeater of the Kyle prefabs dropped onto the level:

So are you building those structures in-editor and baking the mesh, or is there now support in Unity for dynamic navmesh baking? (I do realise I could open the manual...)

The former, alas! While the NavMesh bake is fast for this example, it is not fast enough to be dynamic. Though it would be interesting to have the option to start a NavMesh bake whenever the AX model builds. For simple models, it might seem realtime.

Even though the NavMesh is not dynamic, it is fun to resize the model, bake and then hit Play!

Now that the freeform curve is included, what are the prospects of having a freeform curve repeater? Repeating elements along a curve?

@Teila, FreeCurve was made for onion domes!

Poor Kyle can't decide which OnionDome design he likes best. Hurray now Kyle... we have to finalize the Library items for release!
