    Hi,

I've been using Spriter Pro for a while for my character animations.

I'd like to know which animation software is better to use for cutscenes and item/in-game animations? Especially without "bone" system since I do not need that kind of a complexity while I can do bone stuff with Spriter Pro.

I'm working on a 2D platformer project and I need to have some "masking" feature with that particular animation software. I require it to be as simple as possible without sacrificing the useful tools too much.

Is there any software other than Adobe Flash, Spriter Pro and Spine? I've abandoned Flash a few years ago and now I feel lazy to get used to it once again.

    Thanks,

One good 2d software I used in animation class, is called Toon Boom.
It can do alot of 2d animation stuff. And cartoon style intros and cutscenes too.
And it's used in a alot of cartoons, in Canada and the USA etc.
It can do rigging and masking and just recently, I discovered, it can also do animations for games too. Gasp!!

Hopefully, it can work for you.

Note: I haven't used Toon Boom in a while, so my Toon Boom skills
are kinda rusty. Ha! Ha! :p
