I am a Macbook Pro Retina user & I find MacOS pretty clean & amazing. Also Unity runs amazing on OSX. But since we are entering in the World of VR I lost all my hopes with apple. None of the Apple's hardware Macbook pros, iMacs, Mac pros can run VR.

Also even if apple would come up with some rig that can support VR, prices would be a lot higher. To cut down the prices I think they found a right spot & shifting towards AMD instead of Nvidia. Now 90% apple customers don't like this shift(NVIDIA -> AMD)

Hardware specs might be crappy looking at competition but I really like Apple's software(MacOS).

I would like to know will their be any performance issues if I run Unity on Hackintosh vs Windows.

    Spec for PC:
    Liquid Cooled 7th Generation Intel core i7 7700 4.2 Ghz, Nvidia GTX 1080Ti 11GB, 16GB DDR4 2400Mhz RAM, 120GB SSD

Should be fine but Unity won't be testing stability against Hackintosh. Also you cannot use mac os to develop VR at present. Because VR in general doesn't support mac os, only Windows, so if you are doing VR you are actually using a normal Windows PC, which makes this question 100% redundant.

Nobody cares about politics or reasons you want to run hackintosh btw. You are here to develop, not justify hardware choices.

You are running a PC so it's fine.
