    Hi, i have a question.
When I upload the game to the tv Tizen 2015 model, a message appear.
Smart Security: A malicious process has been blocked.[Process:/opt/down/common/3201501000975/unitygame.so]

    And the game doesn't start.
What can I do, how can I resolve this?

    Thank you.

This issue was resolved in 5.0.0p1. There was an issue in 5.0.0 where the unity binary wasn't being correctly signed so the Tizen security wasn't allowing it to run.

To get Samsung TV support you need to first:
    1. Install the editor from the link you've quoted me pasting.
    2. Separately install the target support installer for Samsung TV. This is available in the "Additional Downloads" dropdown on that link. The link is specifically labeled: "Samsung TV Support Installer"

I don't see the links to Samsung TV module installer anymore.
Was it removed on purpose. How can I do now?

If you download the latest Unity 5 (5.0.2) than it's already included, no further downloads required.

I have it in Build Settings, but it says module is not loaded.
    How do I load it?

What version do you have? With the 5.0.2 installers you shouldn't have to load the module... it should be there. If you could include a link to the installer that you used that would be great. This would be something that would need to be fixed ASAP.

    I have tried with both:
    https://unity3d.com/get-unity/download?thank-you=update&download_nid=16340&os=Win
    and the 5.0..2p3 patch
    http://beta.unity3d.com/download/d1699214cbc5/UnityDownloadAssistant-5.0.2p3.exe
Both show "No Samsung TV module loaded"
in the case of the patch I also tried to download the component installer but the link is broken:
    http://beta.unity3d.com/download/d1...tup-Samsung-TV-Support-for-Editor-5.0.2p3.exe

    Hello,

I've been able to reproduce this issue using the links you provided. I've notified the team that's responsible for the editor installers so this issue should be resolved quickly. Sorry for the confusion!

The next patch release will be fixed I'm told. For now I'd stay away from p3 if you want to do samsung tv work.

Hi, I installed the 5.1 version, and when I try to send the game to the tv, only show the unity splash screen, and never start the game, just after the splash screen show the apps installed.

What can I do? Is there a downloadable for this version?

    Thank you

What model of the TV are you attempting to deploy to? There is an issue with freetype on the 2014 TV's that will be fixed in 5.1p1. I've been told that the 2013 TVs suffer from the same problem, will fix one I can reproduce.

Also are you using the unity launcher to deploy to the TV? is there anything in the log that would be helpful in debugging this issue?

@lumaluis I think I responded to your bug on fogbugz. If you could get back to me that would be great! (I think it may be a problem with the way your project is set up).

@playalong : Do you have any logs from Samsung that indicate why your game won't launch? What TVs have you tested on?

    Hi Alex,

we are currently experimenting with the SamsungTV builds. We have several 55 inch Samsungs here, the one I am currently testing on is a UHD 2014 model (UE55C7700).
Everthing works great - however, I can't seem to influence the resolution the app is running in. It looks very crappy (i.e., probably 1280x720 or something), it doesn't look like 1920x1080, and it's definitely not 3840x2160(=4k/UHD).
In the project settings I tried both "Use native Resolution", and setting the resolution explicitly to different values. Is there something else I can try?

    Thanks a lot!
PS: Performance and build size are marvellous!

EDIT: Followup: OK, it seems setting it to 1920x1080 works, I am now getting a fullHD output. But both "native" and "3840x2160" force a lower resolution. Maybe the TV doesn't support its own UHD resolution...

From looking at the code it doesn't look like we do anything special to the resolution (ie: limiting it). You may be correct that the TV's API only supports up to a certain resolution.
