    Hi :) men please MOVE Asset to
    Master Server Framework https://www.assetstore.unity3d.com/en/#!/content/71391

    It is more stable is complete if you can migrate your system on it uses Unet but modified with a master an SDK its would be really good for your asset server

    Hi! I was the first to buy Master Server when it came out. And it was(and is) great!

    But time proved again and again that unity runtime is not optimal for the task (hopes were high for 4.6, but is so buggy..) And yes, it is doable and MS proved that in a very concrete manner, but it is suboptimal to say the least.

    And still the main reason not to do it is - uMMORPG now is already kinda bloated with tons of features. Adding such a massive chunk of code will bloat it even more. And new coming devs will be so lost.

    I can't just include another another asset in my own asset and sell it. That's against Unity's license.
    Don't worry though, I am actually researching instances this weekend..

    We finished the new warrior model yesterday. So probably skinned mesh equipping.

    Progress: we finished the new warrior model with all the animations. Skinned mesh equipping is implement now too. The new update will be awesome!

    That will be a separate asset. Ended up being way more modifications than I thought, 176 commits in my uMMORPG 2D repository so far.

    Progress: we fixed the sword normals, so the new warrior model is 100% finished and working now. Final step are icons for each new equipment item.

    Weekend Progress Update: uMMORPG 2D was finished and submitted for review! I will post here when it was accepted!

    Notes:
    I never even considered to make my dream MMO in 2D, but as it turns out, that's not the worst idea. It's quite refreshing to not worry about the third dimension in so many aspects. Going from paying thousands of dollars for 3D models to being able to draw that little sword yourself with a 16x16 sprite is really valuable. Being able to fix and tweak animations in Photoshop is really neat. Not worrying about normals, shaders, advanced physics and particle systems is great too. For independend MMO developers, 2D is definitely something to consider.

    Update:
    V1.79 [released 2017-07-11]
    • EquipmentLocation script removed. Equipment locations are now set in the Player Script with the Inspector directly.
    • New Warrior model + new Equipment items
    • Skinned mesh equipping
    • Old warrior model is now a Bandit monster
    • Indicator size slightly increased to fit better around the new Warrior model

    I byu This Today finally. I think is the Best Starting Kit for an Indie Mmorpg, you have made a great work. thanks For all, i continue to follow the progress of this asset.

    Haven't tried any yet, but the dimension-independent addons like warehouse, party etc. should work just fine.

    Hey Vis2k,

    unfortunately Unity team could not fix the bug with the UInpcDialogue. But nvm, i just reimported uMMORPG and then everything was fine.
    I got like 3 questions;
    1) Anyone got an idea how to make an casting bar? that fills with the cast time? would be awesome!
    2) I would like to implement a dps-meter for the player character. Any ideas on this topic? It could be really simple, just calculating the damage per second and put it out as text on UI. But unfortunately im not a programmer, im a designer and so I cant help myself with this problem.
    3) Also how could I make it that I see Experience as floating text like the combat text? Like after killing a mob it shows on the screen how many exp you got.

    If anyone got a solution or could help out it would be super awesome. Could be helpful for your project aswell.

    Good to hear that it works now.

    Read through the UI manual to understand how to make more UIs. Then you can use the skill's cast time.
    You could make floating experience similar to how the damage popups work. Check out the Entity script.

    Works locally and on servers on the internet.

    V1.80 [released 2017-07-14]
    • Upgraded to Unity 2017.1! Make sure to set your .NET Compatibility level to '.Net' instead of '.Net Subset' when upgrading your own project.
    • Regenerated SpeedTree materials to fix the warning when importing uMMORPG.
    • Murderer skill tooltip health buff percentage fixed
    • Chat: removed top comment about guild feature not being implemented yet

    The kit is perfect!!!, but I have a question

    Are the mmorpg add-ons part of the kit? Or are they different creators?

    uMMORPG is available for $80 for a while. Grab it while you can!

    Those are community addons, independend of uMMORPG and not developed by me (except the versioning addon which is an addon because the majority of people wouldn't want that to be part of uMMORPG by default).

    Hey Vis2k, long time no see! Was away from game-dev due to university.

    And here I come with a question: are multislot items easily adaptable? I.e.: a potion would occupy 2 vertical slots instead of one, a bow would occupy 3x3 slots instead of one, etc.

    Well, this one uses the old GUI system... And I was thinking if I could simply tweak a little bit uMMORPG's inventory system in order to make it multi grid, in order to keep everything working

    There is no "simple tweak" when it comes to tweaking mmorpgs into your own vision mate, sorry. You have to learn how to code and do it.

    Progress: still working on multiple server instances. Slow and steady progress.

    Depends on your skills really. uMMORPG uses UNET's SyncListStruct for the inventory list. You would probably need another data structure then.

    Pending review for 11 days now. Usually it takes about 2 weeks for a new asset to be accepted, so I hope that it's out next week!

    • NetworkManagerMMO: OnClientSceneChanged overwritten with empty function to prepare for Network Zones
    • NetworkManagerMMO: OnServerDisconnect base function isn't called directly anymore to avoid the Debug.LogError that shows when a client disconnects
    • Database: added character 'online' field so that external applications can check if a character is currently online without talking to the server directly.
