I sometimes do caricatures/paintings too, mainly use Artrage or a sketchbookpro if digital, great tools IMO, could share link to some if you would like to see, but maybe not suited for this thread..
I've got another one to sharefor the terrain one, see this link (Kind of an alien scene, I call it energy sucker):

Based off this drawing I did:

I have an idea to convert a bunch of drawings/paintings to Unity scenes.

Stellar work, my friend. Woman of my dreams material there. :D

Have you considered Corel Painter? I find it to be a lot more capable to do my digital artwork. *whispers* You can get the educational version from Amazon for $99.

Here's some examples of what a hack like me can do with it: https://www.flickr.com/photos/sabatheus

I wanted to update my last post...I was modifying it, accidentally deleted my prior photos & text..was too tired to re-create it..till now

so here is some Terrains I have been working on this February...the first time I really tried to create large, non-tiled Splat terrains, (been using WorldComposer satellite images)

standard process: WC -> TC -> mesh

then to mesh for WW1 Flying game: TerrainComposer's mobile 4 Splat +Normal shader - model 2.0

Island Terrain and Props : before optimization - 1900+ draw calls

Converted to mesh 4 mobile 70+ draw calls.....(yikes..needs a light maps!)

Switched to HorizonOn 4 Color Mask shader - in PC build

    in Android build:

so, just my feeble attempts at trying to create larger 4 splat terrains.....

Blimey, these are incredible, I am actually looking for an environment pack like this for my off road rock crawler car game, is it available to buy now? If not, can I make an early purchase, how much will it cost?

I am actually working on a big environment pack somewhere around 50$ to 60$ or possibly cheaper but I didn't decide yet. The pack will be huge, containing mobile versions of the HQ models + a playable level + a set of complete environment shaders for foliage and a few demo showcases. I've been working on this for a while now and I actually decided to emphasize on the quality. I was also thinking of making some cheap samples and a free sample of the mobile version. It was planned to be launched this month but unfortunately it might take till next month since the pack is getting bigger and I'm also active on art sites and busy in my real life.

That won't be a problem but the pack will be released the following month or the next one after that in case of delay. How about I make those samples, I would like feedback on your thoughts and tell me if you like it, to be sure the quality is guaranteed. Also, what kind of models are you looking for, low or high poly? The high quality model are pretty low but not compared to the mobile versions.

Hi, that sounds great! I'd welcome any samples to try out, currently it's for desktop game but I'm updating it for Android /ios too.. so both high and low would be handy.. look forward to trying it. You could send me a msg if you want about it up to you.

That's a pretty good start. I have to admit, I like the way the mountain turned out like and the house scene looks promising but you have to do a lot more work on it. Clump those rocks together, more of them and stick them a bit more in to the ground. Add random scaling and rotation. I suggest you try a more natural close to realistic looking scene, Use some references:

As far as terrain texture painting the secret is to pain while keeping regard of the hight. Higher terrain is the rocks while lower is the grass. (Keep it simple at first and follow a pattern).

At the moment I can see you have imagination and I believe you'll be able to make fascinating looking terrains in the future. You can go out with your imagination after you have a good solid foundation.

Can you explain on what exactly you want random scaling and rotation?

In the terrain editor click the add detail button, you have a option box called "edit grass texture". You can change the height and with, and that's how you set random scale. Same thing for trees or detail mesh. If you are just referring to regular mesh you can just scale them using the scale button on the top left of your screen.

I like the first one alot. is it a new game base on the first and is that a shader or a image filter?
I like the last image a lot. :D

Well, I was just remote viewing while listening to rock music. I had a very eerie feeling about myself so I felt like expressing it. Just spent a day on it and stayed till night to finish because I felt I needed to for some reason. I just want to put more feelings and messages in my art so I tried but you can tell me more about your mediu! : )

On a side note I know I made a few promises to you and some people but I got foolish enough to try out a few different things at once and made myself a few clients in art to wich is why I need to take care of them before I get back to unity so I apologize about it and thanks you very much for the comments.

    Hey everyone,
I just wanted to share the game we have been working one for some time now.

All maps are generated procedurally, with dynamic weather effects and a dynamic day and night cycle
If you have a couple of seconds, we would really appreciate it, if you vote for us on Greenlight:

Took a look at all of them. That's very well done vegetation. The only thing I don't like in some pictures is the over usage of fog but that's from an artistic view point. It could be that it's well used to show off how the grass looks like.

    Thanks for the post!

Some of my work on procedural whole environment creation.

The planting and next gen grass optimization is done with InfiniGRASS v2.0, the Sky-evolving volumetric clouds-water and volumetric lighting are done with Sky Master ULTIMATE v3.4 and the land is procedurally GPU generated using my new infiniLAND system.

Indeed, i noticed as well, that is why i put a smaller resolution pic and reference to higher res too, for some reason bigger pics (in size or res) get a cut from the pages.

Another set of pics form my GPU (no DX11 required) land generator WIP (InfiniLAND). Noise and erosion are both done in GPU in real time (erosion uses my own custom method for extra real time perfomance).

The system is plug and play with the upcoming InfiniGRASS v2.0 and Sky Master ULTIMATE v3.4 for a complete on the fly infinite procedural world generation.
