Poly Planet - Multiplayer PvP Survival on Micro Planets

    Hello everyone,
    I am a private developer who would like to introduce you to his small project.

    Overview:
    PolyPlanet is designed to be a space for survival. In which one can flick from one star system to another to gather raw materials.
    With raw materials you can then expand your spaceship, repair and much more.

    The Planets have spherical gravitation.

    With the project I'm just working hard to incorporate events. Like meteorites, hulls or pirates who want to take over the ship.

    Great work so far, I like that *_*
    Very advanced Game, not bad. Do you make this all by yourself?
    Who is the green guy? Friendly bot or Coop member?

    Thanks, yeah its all my own work.
    The green guy is a NPCTempGameobject ( pathfind test )
    own script too =)

    the shader need as next some work :p

    There is a lot going on in this. The systems look like they are working well, I bet they are pretty complex.
    The one point that struck me was - is this really "survival"?

    The feeling I get from the video is more like marauding than survival. The player character seems not to be in a dire situation he has to survive through.
    Rather he is marauding "roaming to search for things to steal/take or people/beings to attack".

    This is just my observation from watching the video, not an attempt to degrade your work or suggest a change in direction.

    The foot step audio in the ship was very repetitive. You may consider variableizing ;) that audio so it doesn't annoy players.

    -I hope so. the player has, for example: Life, oxygen, hunger, thirst. so the player must collect food and raw materials, which it finds on the various planets.

    My game still needs a lot of work.
    as you have already noticed the background sound is very bleak. xd

    Looks cool! That planet editor is nice. There is a game called Space Engineers which seems a bit similar.

    This game has a potential of getting possible a good amount of players in the game. Just improve the GUIs and the textures and it will become a better game that people can play on.

    True. I do my best to do this. But alone its realy hard work ^^. and then this problem....

    1 new Feature = 10 new Bugs xD

    by the way, i look for some people they want help me.

    one condition they must have. German language
    Because my english is simply too bad unfortunately ;D

    I like where things are going. Two things. First, please don't release this on something like steam greenlight until a lot more work is completed and it is truly solid. Second, I really think you would be best served going with an art style similar to this: https://www.assetstore.unity3d.com/en/#!/content/18572. Some of your elements have the shape of good low poly art, but your lighting and shading needs a lot of work. Anyway, good luck!

    both sure. =) i will it only release if all it is polished and clean with no bugs, i hope.
    The Polyworld is realy awsome but i will do all work, content or whatever by my self. Scripting / Modeling / Textures / Sounds / and much more...
    All models at the moment are test / early not finished models.

    Sure. I do not mean to use the asset. I simply mean that its a good art style with the lighting and coloring and such. If your going for low poly look, I think that style would be best suited. Just personal opinion though.

    Vollzeit am Arbeiten (Konstruktoer) und restliche zeit wird ins Game gepackt. :D

    Jup, hab photon ma ausprobiert, bin dann aber zu der meinung gekommen das Unet bissel bequermer is.
    Gerade ärger ich mit dem SunShafts rum :p

    yes, i´v tried photon, but then come to the opinion that the Unet is a bit easier.

    Jep, UNet is quite nice. Ich schlag mich auch damit rum. Falls es mal knirschen sollte, kannst mich gerne fragen - ich bin eigtl täglich hier unterwegs. SunShafts, da bin ich raus ;-)

    Will follow this project, super interesting :)

    atm its olny for PC but why not for Consoles or mobile =)
    In the mobile area, I have unfortunately no experience.
    Thats a little problem but possible ^^

    currently i´m working on the prop models ( weapons, generators, powerlines....an so )....

    But that is very difficult for me because I am absolutely not creative

    -more Weapons
    -insert the crafting / smellting code
    -create a Crafting and Smelting UI
    -and the Powercables with Connectionanchors ( to place on the ground for many cables )
    -and if its more time i will add the first Automatic Gun with AI

    -model Planetary Transport Cannon ( i think its a better solution as Spaceships in small spaces betwen the planets )
    so you can shoot yourself to a other planet.
