    Could someone please provide the assets (backgrounds and models used in tutorial 24 and following) on some public host? And reply here with the URL?

    The download URL mentioned in the first post of this thread isn't working anymore...

    Thanks in advance,
    Thomas

    Thanks a lot, tiago! That was fast :D

    And thanks to Buzz3D for the tutorial videos! I think they are great! And although they are a bit lengthy overall I definitely like the "late at night and relaxed" style! The videos also show a lot of common Unity pitfalls I think (like forgetting to attach a script to a GameObject).
    It's a great start to learn Unity with C# scripting.

    Thanks,
    Thomas

    Hey! Nice tutorials, a shame that the majority has broken links.

    So to put it simple. Here are the working downloads:

    Unity Crash Course
    Creating our Project
    Creating the Player Script
    Creating the Projectile
    Adding Sound to our Game
    Creating the Enemy
    Projectile Collisions
    Putting our Explosion to Work
    Increasing Score
    Using Coroutines
    Losing the Game
    Drawing New Backgrounds
    New Player Geometry
    Enhancing our Player Spawn System

    These generates 404 errors

    Introduction
    The Game Object
    Creating the Player
    Player Script Continued
    Firing the Projectile
    Creating Custom Visual Studio Templates
    Streamlining the Enemy Class
    Creating the Explosion Effect
    Creating a simple HUD
    Player Destruction
    Setting up our Menu
    Winning the Game
    Creating a Scrolling Background
    New Enemy Geometry
    Increasing Game Difficulty
    Project Assets

    I'm not much a tv zapper specially when it comes to tutorials, but handing out 47% of the entire tutorial can be equalized to zapping through a tutorial. So please could you reupload the rest?

    Yeah, that was me. Glad you enjoyed the UDK videos. You'd have seen a lot more of them if I hadn't got so caught up with Unity! :)

    Sorry about the broken links. That happened for a couple of days while we were switching servers.

    Actually, if you're interested in checking out some of the NEW Unity 3 training we've got planned for release, jump over to this thread!

    Does anyone know if the advanced tutorials have been created yet? Being a c++ coder making their first move into unity I'm very interested in seeing a much more object oriented approach to the game creation.

    Busby,

    Just downloaded Unity and in the first hour I found your tutorials. Great to see that the Unity Community has tutorials easily discoverable! I'll be going through them over the next month, and if it's all right with you I may pop you a few personal emails with questions :) .

    Looking forward to watching these and getting started! Thanks!

    This is really great set of tutorials. It took me 4 days, to get through all of them.
    I can't believe someone would be crazy enough to do all of this, in such high quality, and for free.

    First of all, thank you very, very much. I am up to video #14, and I must tell you that these are the best tutorials I have seen for any programme. I like your straightforward pedagogy and how the videos are not monotone because of the interaction and fun podcast feel. Again, thank you very much. I greatly appreciate it.

    Firstly, thank you very much for those great tutorials !

    And secondly, i have a question about tutorial 12 "Creating the Enemy" :
    When you'r creating a public property called MinSpeed, MaxSpeed.. those properties are owned by the object instance but if you want a common property for each "Enemy" instances, can we write something like
    "public static float MinSpeed;" instead "public float MinSpeed" ?

    also i wish my english is good enough to explain my question(i'm french ;))

    I have a question. On lesson 21, when I create a menu, I put: if(menu stuff); { Debug.Log("You Pressed me") }. Like you guys said. However, it keeps thinking I pressed it before I even pressed it, so it infinitely thinks im pressing the button, making it so that the screen shows up for about a second, and then right into the game. What is happening!? PLEASE HELP!

    NEVER MIND! You've got to remove the ; at the end of the menu button info.

    I was surprised at how much trouble many of them seemed to have, as well as by the number of questions that they started to send my way. 3DBuzz tutorials inspired me and gave me this strength of will to learn unity3d.

    This is quite an old thread. But i just wanted to say that the tutorials at 3dbuzz.com are BY FAR! better than all those other ones where you always fall asleep because of the monoton talking and zero fun level.

    Looks like the download version of these VTMs might be just the ticket. Although the streaming videos are great, these might be just the ticket for better viewing and learning of the engine. Thanks, Buzz!

    Hello. I'm new to the forum, Unity and C#. After going through this tutorial I'm hooked.

    I'm on video 09 Firing the projectile.

    When I get to the point to fire the projectile, after writing the code it sends me an error and I can't run the game. This is the code that I have for player.cs.

    using UnityEngine;
    using System.Collections;

    public class Player : MonoBehaviour {

    public float PlayerSpeed;
    public GameObject ProjectilePrefab;

    // Update is called once per frame
    void Update ()
    {
    // Amount to move
    float amtToMove = Input.GetAxisRaw("Horizontal") * PlayerSpeed * Time.deltaTime;

    // Move the player
    transform.Translate(Vector3.right * amtToMove);

    // ScreenWrap
    if (transform.position.x <= -9.7f)
    transform.position = new Vector3 (9.6f, transform.position.y, transform.position.z);
    else if (transform.position.x >= 9.7f)
    transform.position = new Vector3 (-9.6f, transform.position.y, transform.position.z);

    if (Input.GetKeyDown("space"))
    (
    // Fire Projectile
    Instantiate(ProjectilePrefab);

    )

    }
    }

    Help please!

    Thanks for the tutorial series!
