option to collapse bottom footer?

I mean its not ugly, but i'm already unity'er and don't need to see it hundreds of times a day..
reasons:
- going into new topics scrolls too far now (as there is more stuff at bottom)
- or if you press end/page down to back go the last message (end of page), you end up in that huge footer..

literally it shouldn't take more than few lines to allow registered users to hide/persistant collapse it..
