Near Field Communication (NFC) in Unity

Hello everyone! I was wondering if it's possible to use NFC read/write devices with unity? I saw a lot of threads about potentially using it with Android, but how about on Windows?

Im interested in this using with Vuforia, and interacting with nfc smart posters.
