    Nope. UMA only works with morphs, not topological modifications. You'd have to modify it via modeling software.

    I meant can i modify it in modeling software and then using with UMA ? Do i need some adjusing UMA after that?

    It depends, what do you want to modify. Uma is no magic, it normal skinned mesh with skeleton (+helper bones for morphing), with lots of code around (morphing, merging...).

    Why? Uma is made from parts, so when you are assembling character, you will not use limb parts. It is because of performance optimizations, you dont need limb parts, when some armor is equiped. Also you dont have problems with z fighting, etc..But this dicussion does not belong to this topic, much more suitable is some general UMA thread. This topic is for justb´s content.

    Hi :)

    You can modify via other software, but you'll need a bit of modeling skills. You would export the part of the mesh that you want as a skinned FBX (ie. half of the arm and the cut torso) and import into UMA and follow the process to make slots and assign materials.


    From there you can load slots via script or recipe as usual. My zombie pack does this. Some zombies have limbs that can be removed.

    I am confused. So the UMA store version will have your retextures? We will only have to download UMA to get them?

    The current plan is to keep it for compatibility purposes, and make this the new default.

    Really, you should make it the default. While Fernando stuff is nice, Will's faces and bodies will make the pack more attractive to users. Creating that first crowd scene will show a bunch of really well done body and face textures. That means, they will be more likely to keep using UMA.

    I was talking about the old stuff being in the UMA package. The new stuff will of course be default! Its awesome : )

    I agree with making it default, ive been using UMA for a minute, but only after I saw Will B's stuff, before that, I was hesitant on using it...
