    hey everyone,

So I have animation of a character blinking and moving his arms on Autodesk Maya 2017

once i import this character into unity, can i add a walk or any other animation in mecanim (animation downloaded from asset store) with a maya animation?

i kind of tried this by adding a walk animation to the animator but then when i created an animation controller for the maya animation and tried to blend it with the unity walk anime, it didn't work and instead my model deformed.

Am i doing something wrong or this is not possible?

how can i combine animation on maya with mecanim animation on unity

    thank you

Suggest looking into the humanoid rig setup in mecanim. The learn section has some great information on combining animations from multiple sources and the documentation is very valuable for retargeting. This is commonly called retargeting, and requires the humanoid rig set up.
Blinking might require an avatar mask or layer mask to get working properly. This is a bit more involved process, and will require iterations to set up.
