Invalid unity web files (decompression failure)

    I got this error when i try to play Dead Frontier



    how i solve this?

    i cleaned my firefox cache, cleaned my notebook and netbook and nothing

    help

    Hello,

    It's possible the game file has got corrupted, this can happen sometimes for many different reasons.

    I suggest trying the following:

    1. Un-install Unity WebPlayer from control panel -> Uninstall a program
    2. For Windows 7 delete the game data files from this location on disk: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\Unity\WebPlayer\Cache
    3. You should see a folder named Dead Frontier or something similar related to the game title - delete the folder
    4. Clear FF browser cache again
    5. Restart your machine
    6. Launch FF and head to http://unity3d.com/webplayer
    7. Download and install our latest WebPlayer
    8. Restart browser and head to Dead Frontier

    Hopefully that should do the trick.

    I'm also having this problem. The file I uploaded runs fine if I open it in my browser locally, but if I try to put it up on the internet, it gets this error message.

    Having the same issue. The unity3d file runs fine if I launch it directly from the build folder or as a project from an IDE like Aptana. However, if I make the code part of a web application and try to access the unity3d file from the server I get the same error message the others are getting above. I am testing this with IE and FireFox (Chrome is not an option for my current project.).

    Some browsers have stopped supporting a part of the Unity Plugin needed to run the Unity Webplayer. I've been able to solve the issue by switching the browser I run it in to Firefox. I haven't been able to find a way to solve this issue inside Chrome, sadly.
