    Here's a video I put together showing how I scan people to use as avatars for my games

    Results are great. Do you do a retopo pass before rigging and bringing into engine?
    Cool stuff.

    Yes, I retopo down to around 7,000 polys and use a normal map. I have to because otherwise I'm stuck with millions of random polys.

    I have an 82 camera 3D scanner but you can do this with just one camera and take 82 photos. You just need to make sure the model is very still and the final result might not be as sharp, but still good enough for an avatar.

    You scan people with their agreement, of course?

    Well its pretty hard to scan someone without their consent.
