Now that Visual Studio for Mac is out of preview and officially launched, I tried it out last night however when I double click a file, it only opens up that file with no solution or anything else. How do I get Visual Studio for Mac and Unity to work well together (and since on the home page of Visual Studio for Mac is specific mentions Unity under there "Build cross-platform games" section, I would think they should work well together).

Upgrade to Unity 5.6.1. I had the same issue.

Yea, found an article about that but Unity told me the my version (5.6.0. something) was the latest so I just instead the beta of 2017.1 (or whatever it is called) and that got it working.

Ironically after searching enough to get it working, I am back to using Rider, Visual Studio for Mac is just way to slow for me to use.
