Free FPS Starter Scripts!!

Possibly when work resumes this fall. Had to pause do to school requirements. gradation nearing. Will polish up and ponder upon the project later

 

I have been looking forever for a program that I could take apart and learn more about FPS design and unity. I have tried the Turbo Twins FPS project...but that lead to nowhere, and I tried to piece together my limited scripting and unity knowledge and that went nowhere as well. (Ha!) Thanks again for these scripts and assets.

Now here is my question...How do you modify the weapon properties? Fire rate, damage, and so on? I may have missed it somewhere, or I may just be reading the scripting wrong but nothing I have found looks right. (again complete and utter novice here) I have a few models that I have made for my project that I would like to inject into this to see just how they would act. Imagining them in your head can only go so far, heh.

If it is a super trade secret that you do not want to release, if it is not available in the free build, or if I totally missed it in this thread...whoops, my bad.

Weapon properties are editable. Each weapon has a number of script components that allow tweaking of gun properties. The one your specifically looking for is RayGunShoot. GunBobber GunPoser are important to change the look and feel of the weapon, GunAnimator handles animations. Basically all of the scripts that are attached to the weaponCamera and each weapon should be looked at

 

Ah ok, thanks for the quick response looked over these scripts again and saw some of the things that I was looking for, cannot believe I missed them before.

 

is there a tutorial that i could read or watch to understand how to combine these scripts together

can somone please tell me how to use the health script i figured the others out but i dont understand how to get this one going

 

please help how am i supposed to understand this i have no clue how to get the guns to shoot also if i use the fpx zero game object frame rates drop really low please help

Where is there a working link to this plugin? I have yet to find one anywhere. Is it still alive or is it dead like so many other FPS control plugins I've exhumed?

Guys, just go download Fps Constructor if you need a free fps project. Or look up the ArmedUnity pack. Plenty of free fps kits out there.
