Forums keeps logging me out

One year since initial post — and logging on is still broken.

 

Happened to me again today. A little more annoying this time because I think the changes to the site have made logging in slower.

 

happening more often again.. initially i'm logged in, and can view my alerts etc,
but then get logged out somewhere after viewed the topics and maybe opening forums in new window.

 

Twice in the last two days for me.

 

A few days ago (before and during last weekend) it was logging me out almost every visit. I used one desktop, one phone and one laptop during that period. The phone of all things had the fewest issues.

 

I used to have this problem, but it's been ok couple months now (same computer and browser). It was always silently logging me off.

 

This stopped happening to me months ago. Has not happened at all on a fresh chrome install.

 

No logging out in a while, on or off vpn.

 

Silently these most recent times. In both cases, I just visited the site to find that I wasn't logged in. I have occasionally seen an error in the past. When I have seen an error it has been after clicking on Alerts when I appear to be logged in. It will log me out and pop up a little box about logging in to check alerts and I'll have to log in again.

 

It was silent here too - I visited the forum as usual, and I simply wasn't logged in. Been fine today though.

Happening to me again.

 

The forum can keep me logged in for maybe half an hour, but has to go through some sort of complicated re-authentication forward dance every time I get back to a computer where I should be logged in. This means that I can't simply hover over the Alerts section - I have to click a link to somewhere within the forum to renew my logged in status before I can see if there are any notifications.

This is, of course, utter crap.

 

Is there a fix for this, I am auto logged off everysingle time I visit the forums or answers, I have to log in every single time, and its beyond annoying.

Not used the forum since upgrading to High Sierra either, which includes the ultra-paranoid Safari upgrade. Login still good weeks later!
