FF #46 is CLOSED. The next one opens Oct 14 - TIME FOR SPOOKY GAMES!

    ---

Want design feedback for your new game? Then you've found the right thread! Post here to get precious player feedback. Discuss until we lock the thread to start the two week break.

    How To Ask For Feedback?
    • Show - Pics, videos, or best of all, a playable game!
    • Be Concise - Who's got time for Wall 'O Text? Less is more
    How To Give Feedback?
    • Be Positive - Finding redeeming qualities in the worst of games, is in itself a game
    • Focus On The Design - Not the designer
    • Be Specific - "Your game sucks!" is for nubs
    What To Show?
    • Minimally Viable Product (MVP) - Core game play >>> everything else
    • How To Scope Small (Unity tutorial)

[PS - Feedback Friday #45 is here]

I'm thinking either people are too busy developing to check forum and see the thread or maybe nobody is actually developing. ;)

I'm just getting started this week on my next game. Needed a break from it a bit.

I usually check in on the forum (and this thread) every once in a while. However I'm usually deep into development and general life obligations, so I don't have time to comment a lot.
Hopefully I can show you guys some of what I've been working on later down the line. :)

I'm hoping we can get a basic gameplay loop up for the next one, we just finished paper prototyping a fortnight ago & moved onto the digital prototype. We are all in the middle of our major end of year assignments so that is taking precedence at the moment.

I'm working on something - kind of hung up on creating assets at the moment. The behavior is mostly there - I just recycled code from my bajillion abandoned prototypes. They were useful for something!

    Content sucks, y'all. :(

Making one or two levels is easy, its trying to flesh it out to a full game thats the hard part.

For me, a player character with multiple animations is hard. But I found a quick fix that will let me post a prototype soon - I just drew/animated a stick figure. It's good enough for a prototype.
