We've received a number of reports concerning "Cannot Download Entry" errors that have come in over the past hour.

We are currently investigating and will have an update ASAP.

    Thank you for your patience.

    --Andy K

Update: If you were experiencing the error, please close and restart your editor, it should work appropriately now.

As a heads up, the problem seems to extend beyond just "Cannot Download Entry". I'm working on two projects with a friend - he owns one, and I own the other. Neither of us can download either of the two projects, or commit any changes.

The problem appeared earlier today, at approximately 14:00, and resolved itself around 16:00 GMT. It seems to be back now, since about 22:30 GMT.

Seems like some sort of server issue.

EDIT: Collaborate has now gone from "Cannot Download Entry" to simply not connecting at all, leaving us with the "Start Now" button. This is actually good news. When this happened earlier today, the issue resolved itself within about 30 minutes. Seems like they're restarting the servers or something.

EDIT 2: 08:30 GMT and collaborate is still down. It's connected, and tells me I have new files to download, but now I'm getting "Cannot Download Entry" again.

Still cannot download. This is srsly sad :( i pay for this software for a reason. Atleast i think that would be fair to inform us about progress of this issue and if ur atleast working on it.

    Thanks for any information.

Yeah, for what it's worth, my team is experiencing this issue as well. It worked for a bit last night at least.

Is there a way of downloading all the current project files from the browser as one package? That'd at least allow us to work. I realize there's downloading every individual file, but uh, that's a really bad option.

    Hi guys,

Thanks for making us aware of this.

It should be fixed now, but you may experience higher latency in Europe.

We're shifting some things around at the moment to make sure that there is a permanent fix to this situation that we can have up as quickly as possible, so thanks for letting us know you're still hitting the error. At this time, restarting the editor should get you running again. We'll continue to update with any new developments here. Sorry for the frustration this is causing!

The issue is resolved at this time. Please post in here if you're somehow still running into this issue after a restart of the editor.

Hi @dylanh7244 and @Roughjericho, can you message me your project IDs or submit a ticket through the form on your project in the dashboard so that I can take a look and see what might be causing this issue for you?

I just experienced this issue (U5.6b8). Deleting Library/Collab folder helped but... it also created a pretty long change list (or revealed badly versioned ones? can't tell)

New case here (Unity 5.6.1f1), after an endless loop the error "Cannot download entry" popped,
It seems the .meta and source of sound files break the collab.
Delete the Library/Collab folder won't help.

I'm working on PC (windows 10) and the others on Mac.

Hi @Anthelmed! Can you try downloading your project from the Cloud again into a new folder?

Hi, I already do that yesterday and it's not helping.

However we found the problem this morning, the Google Drive App on Mac create "Icon" file. I don't know why but collab don't like those.

We will add an exception to the collabIgnore.
    Thanks for your rapidity.

Hi @F-N! Have you tried deleting your Collab folder inside of your project's Library folder?

    Thanks for your response @ryanc-unity
I did what you said and Collab is working again!
It was quite a big task to synch everything since pulling the changes of the other teammember made me lose my own changes.
Nevertheless I'm glad that it's functioning like it should right now :)

And if quitting, deleting Library/Collab and reopening doesn't fix it, are there other remedies? I've also tried just deleting the Library/Collab/CollabSnapshot_....txt file. Appears that I'm getting ping pong'ed between "Cannot download entry" and "Cannot submit change to server". This is after starting with a fresh project in Unity. Thanks for any help.

Hi @greg_hart! If those methods aren't working then try re-downloading your project into a new directory. Also, there have been some instances where installing a 5.6.X version of Unity on the same machine and then re-opening the project clears away these errors. Let me know if either of these workarounds work for you.

Re-downloading the project into a new directory does not work. Are there any other options?

Hi @rpeer! Have you checked if your project is archived on the Developer Dashboard? You can also try deleting your Collab folder inside of your project and downloading a 5.6 version of Unity. Do any of those options unblock you?

It has been fixed by closing and reopening Unity once again.

"Icon" files from Google Drive on Mac were also causing me tons of trouble. Deleting them from the Project made Unity Collab work - thank you so much!
