Creating a color transition effect for a 2D game

    hey guys ,
    I am making a game in which there is a mechanic where the hue of the game changes at a certain level.
    I am posting a video link which shows what i am trying to achieve.



    Anybody have any ideas on how to achieve that color change transition as in the game ?
