I thought I would post this here as I have emailed support a couple of times but not received a response!
I have signed up for the $35 dollar Unity Plus. I have been charged $42 though and I'm just wondering if anyone can explain the difference in advertised and actual cost.

I may be missing something here but just want to Clarify

    Cheers

    VAT/Tax, maybe?

Edit: On the Plans site it says "All prices exclude VAT/Tax", so yeah... $35 without and $42 with VAT/Tax.

tax on $35 is only $2.10 though, not $7
At least in USA, but OP said "cheers" so maybe he's from Great Britian and I don't know what their tax rate is.

VAT rate in UK is 20% as of 2011, according to Wikipedia and UK's Gov page. So it's $35 + additional $7 = $42. Could be it, if the OP is indeed living in the UK.

    man, I can't imagine paying 20% extra on everything I buy, That's like a 20% pay cut.

No, not really. Or it depends. Could be less, could be quite a bit more, depends on where you are. There's no sales tax in the U.S. that's the same everywhere.
