Convert C4D to .fbx

The person who modeled the oil rig will send you a compatible version if you message him. Check the comments on the page you linked.

 

This particular C4D file can't be converted outside of Cinema4D, since it's using procedurally created polygons. Cinema4D is required to convert it.

 

theANMATOR2b People and my self have asked for a .fbx file but he seems to not reply or he's not around anymore.

the demo of C4D is fully functional for 48 days, you can export as FBX directly from C4D.

I'm having a very similar problem, and I am brand new to this thing called 3D.

So I have a beautiful 3D model, but it's C4D file, and I need it converted into a OBJ file.
For the last 3 days I've been trying to do this myself with no luck at all. I've been to every web site I could find, downloaded free demo software, that refuses to work with C4D files, and have even purchased Adobe CC17 so I could open it and then convert it into an OBJ File, but that hasn't worked either?

It's an online converter. I think that the support for C4D Is coming soon, though.

 

And, I just checked, https://github.com/assimp/assimp/releases/tag/v4.1.0/ can import / export C4D files... (Open Asset Import Lib, aka Assimp.... which "(Just because of its name: Assimp renders your program sexier)"...) lol

I mean everybody's doing it for free, we don't see a point in paying for it...
