black screen by start up

    hi there
    i've just installed unity 5.5 beta. when it was downloading it gave the error that he could't delete the old version of unity(unity5.4). but now he had the old one removed and i have a desktop icon from unity 5.5. when i start up unity 5.5 i get the loading screen and then a black screen, where normally comes the select project screen. does anybody has an solution for me? or rather go back to unity 5.4?

    Sounds like the installation did not finish properly? Try removing installation and reinstalling?

    tried that before.. now i did it with my computer rebooted between the uninstall and the install and it worked! thanks for the quick reaction! thumbs up..
