Audio Audio button is automatically disabled on mobile devices?

Hi, so I have some buttons on my UI for audio and sound. When clicking on the buttons they either set the volume to 1 or 0. On PC the audio button enables and disables perfectly, however on mobile the audio button is disabled on app launch and I am unable to click on it to disable the audio that is playing. The sound effects button is working fine for both PC and mobile devices. I tested this on android and IOS and I am not sure why it is not working. Thank you for any help.
