Admob Not Working

Hello, everybody, I know this is a noob question but I've been having a lot of trouble integrating AdMob ads in my android game.

I followed this tutorial multiple times but with no luck:

Only the test adds show but when I use my ad id no ad appears

Can somebody please help me?
