@florianalexandru05 very nice work! My only critique is that on the stairs, the edges are very sharp and clean yet there is heavy damage in some places, I think it would look better to have more medium-level wear along the stair edges. A bit more like the worn edges in the last image.

Yes, everything will work. It won't be the average crappy FSX/Prepar3D addon, but instead a standalone (Unity) professional training tool. I tried the static model in VR and it is awesome. To press the buttons we need a good data glove though. Or maybe Oculus Touch will work too. We'll see. But the Vive controllers are too bulky.

Man, such a waste to see this only used as a portfolio piece : D
Could be a epic VR experience : p

I think you may be right, I might get to that. At the moment I'm just baking and painting the diffuse textures as it turns out, I'll get back to color and details later, also have to retexture or adjust them for a better quality.
This is really nice and looks like it came from nasa. I'm not really sure how perfectly sealed that suit is but it looks good and comfortable.
    I agree with that.

Thanks for the kind words, but if I was to do something like this for VR I'd use a mesh terrain and do a lot of things differently for performance reasons. A terrain this big and detailed runs at about 60 fps on my machine, but I'd want more speed if I was to use it for VR. I created a night scene in the desert complete with random shooting stars, for the explicit purpose of being used in VR.

I just never got around to getting it up and running on my VIVE, but I might do a couple of VR environments in the future.

Remade the animations from one of my old Flash templates in Unity. I think it turned out pretty well:

This is part of a whole remake of the template for the asset store.

grab the package from github as it is less memory demanding (still needs about 4gb though due to some nasty bugs in unity editor).

Having a go at making a space constructor set for mobile. All of these use the same 1k texture and batching pieces (1 draw call for everything). Ships are 1.5-2k triangles.

Made a 1969 Ferrari Dino 246GT and rendered it in Arnold for maya, wanted to see how close I could recreate it in Unity. Its a ludicrously unusable polycount for the sake of smoothness, (i did forget to smooth out an indicator though) but I dont think it'd be a fair comparison otherwise. Using the 5.4 beta with the new cinematic image effects. Sadly the TAA appears to be completely broken at the moment and ssr is still a bit blobby, which is why the rims might look a bit off. The metal trim around the grill is particularly jaggy as in Arnold the thinness was compensated for by AA, doesn't work as well here.
Both shots are completely lacking dirt/spec breakup but I like my shinies.

Lots of thanks to @hippocoder for suggesting some tips to get closer to a 1:1 comparison

    Unity version:

    Arnold version:

All colour correction/post is with the new cinematic effects in-engine. Could do with some more work but for an experiment I was quite impressed with the new col. correction

    hey guys,

so been a little bit busy with a million things lately but I decided to go back and change a few things with the low poly environment I was working on. Still having issues with the shadows not showing up, but I gotta admit, I'm liking this one better. I'm thinking about releasing them in the asset store, but I want to get your guys opinion on this.

    wow so much amazing work!
Its been a really long time since I visited the unity forums. Heres my new game project that I have been working on.
Not really a game at this point though, more like just messing around in unity and creating a prototype demo.
