Hello Everyone, I am new to the Unity3d (and the programmers) community and I am glad to be a part of it.
Here is a link to the open alpha version of my first Android game: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.TechAnyway.FlyMe
It is basic but I need to start small to get my first project done.
I would love to receive any feedback.
    Thank you !

A nice rock texture on the back of that first image would work out well I think. I like the style, what's the backstory of the game?

    Very nice!

Did you get approved by Nintendo as a developer? I'm waiting to hear.

Sure helps to of known Unity for a good amount of time, because I've never would've been able to do this without basic Unity knowledge and knowing how to fix most errors that are thrown at me lol. Oh god, this was a true nightmare till I fixed it.

But hey, this is a super big milestone for me because:

    1. I know I can do chat now after this, as it's somehwat similar to what I did with this.

    2. I only started networking with PUN around 3 weeks ago, so this is a big accomplishment. :)

If you want to know more about it you can visit my thread(in signature).

Out of curiosity... Why did you go with PUN, rather than the built-in Unity Multiplayer Networking?

I was taking tutorials for uNet but there wasn't enough information on what I was trying to do; I'll probably learn uNet when it has more tutorial series and more info in general. One of the reasons I went with PUN was because it's been out for years and has more documentation and more answers to problems, tutorials, etc. I really like uNet, though, it was super easy when I used it.

Cool. I'm working on tutorials as we speak. If you get the chance, let me know what you'd like to know (either here, in networking (tag me with @Adam Buckner) or in private) what it is you'd like to know or felt was missing and I'll make sure I get it into the tutorials.

Still messing around with the raptor. I think I made him mad...

...but I can stop him for good now!

I'm trying to get the animations work properly with the AI. This is my first proper attempt at using the new animation system (at least, its new for me at this point). I'm liking it so far, particularly the blend trees.

This is kinda neat too.. I saved 12 bones without losing articulation by streamlining the hands. The index uses 3, thumb 2, and the remaining 3 fingers are controlled by the same 3 bones as if they were 1 finger. It's not perfect by any stretch, but he can do everything but the peace sign. :D

And now I'm just cluttering the thread, but still. This is better than I thought I could accomplish at this level of optimization. :D :D :D

I think you could take a few triangles off the chest and add them just above the stomach as there will be much more deformation there. Great work for such low polys, although I'm not exactly sure it would be necessary to go to such lengths - I assume it's for mobile?

Yeah, mobile. I'm intending on pushing the limits on what I can have exploding and how many mobs on the screen at once.. so I don't mind detonating what I can here in prep. I haven't found any issues with the stomach deforming wrong when I mess with animating, but I'll review it just in case thank you. I might weight the shoulder verts a little different. Currently all verts are single bone weights, and there are just a few little issues I wanna correct before moving on.

Cool, yeah just that since there is no deformation by the bones in the chest area it makes sense to move polys and perhaps add them where the bones are actually deforming the mesh, i.e., bending at the joints. I have a feeling it might not look so great from the side if the character's back is curved, if I were you I would add another loop between the chest and stomach. Anyway, looks great.

Looks really nice! Vibrant colors & shading depth.. I love it.

Looking at that roof I am remembering that one of my next steps is to figure out how to make tileable textures in blender. I discovered this method, but it would seem like it could add a lot of verts really quick for larger areas.

I went back to an old knife asset that I made, redid the textures and rendered it in Marmoset this time:

Thanks. Those aren't for my game, those are just for my portfolio. I'm not too concerned with polycounts because of that. Primarily they need to look good. The knife has ~2k tris and a grenade has ~3k tris, so for an FPS view model that would be perfectly fine. The texturing is done in Substance Painter and is 99% procedural.

Making things, like this tree! Muddy textures but its a first pass on everything. Broad strokes etc

    EDIT: More stuff.
Im still working on how its going to look, this is just putting everything in and seeing how that goes. Then ill work with each thing and hopefully improve the overall look once i establish a style etc. Remember ive been making space corridors for years, this is all new to me :)

Made another one, this time with simple but new models. If I should follow through the next two items on my list are an ammo case and a concrete background.
