    Welcome to the devlog for Chicken Chickens RPG

    What is Chicken Chickens RPG:

    Chicken Chickens is a 2D RPG platformer for PC* were you travel the mysterious world of ... (can't think of chicken inspired pun atm) in search of your lost Azcluckian ancectors to gather up the strength and power to stop a great evil looming in the shadows.

    Features:
    • A variety of different classes for to acquit to different builds (Warriour, Theif, Mage, Mech etc)
    • Explore a strange and interesting world filled with puns and references (and actual gameplay I guess)
    • Fun & engaging combat with real time fighting system
    • Co-op & PVP multiplayer
    • A vast amount of places to explore (dungeons, towns, caves etc)/li]
    etc...

    Current State: Prototype

    *Will also be available on Mac & Linux (possibly Mobile later down the line)

    Week1:

    • Did some concept drawings to work with understanding how the game fits*
    • Made a basic level an enemy (a bale of hay) & simple movement**
    • Made some basic animations for the Chicken
    • Put in a simple chat system to talk to an NPC***
    • Added a random weapon and swing animation****

    Next things to implement:
    • Simple ai
    • Mixed animations
    • Leveling up
    • Equiping armour
    • Inventory

    Very nice indeed! I have often said there are plenty of original games left to make. Just taking a look around at the worlds of insects, animals and so forth is a great starting point! Glad to see I am not the only one who realizes this. Your game should stand out as being quite original! Looking forward to seeing this progress. Hopefully you'll do a web player or desktop release?

    Week 2:
    • Added mixing animations (jumping and attacking, walking and attacking etc)*
    • Haybale now drops Xp and Gold (mini haybale and mini sun as palceholder art though)**
    • Haybale also now has an attacking ai**
    • The chicken now has a singular armoured foot(a starting point for armour)***

    • Level up (similar to Pokemon)

    Yeah forgot to mention it will be on Windows, Mac & Linux (possibly mobile devices later down the line)

    Are the loadouts/character builds going to change the visual appearance of the sprites?
    Reason for asking is - the sprites may be a little too small to accomplish this successfully.
    The pirate? Chicken in the above image looks very busy imo due to the size of the character and the amount of detail added to him.

    Thanks for putting in time to do a dev log here. Really enjoy watching progress of game designs. Especially, in this case, when on the surface they look simple but under the hood are complex creations.
