    Keep in mind this is early test of combat and AI and some stuff are still a bit rough :

    This looks interesting.
    :) If you put sunglasses on him he would look like a young Johnny Bravo.

    Hello? This thing on? Firstly, yes he kind of does look like Johny Bravo! Secondly, we'd like to apologize for such a large gap in respnding to and updating this post. We promise you, we have been hard at work nonstop since then.

    We've got many updates for everyone, but instead of making a long list, we'll be breaking them up into a series of posts filled with pics and gifs!

    for this post, let's start by properly introducing the characters.

    Zax ~ Fanatical Hero ~ (Director of Security- Melee DPS)


    A fanatic fan of the fighting game Protector Joe, Zax always strived to be just like his hero and be the best fighter the world had ever seen. One day when buying chocolate at his local supermarket Zax spotted a flyer for a job in security. "Become a protector and enforcer of justice" it said. A protector! Zax immediately ripped the flyer off the wall and ran home to apply for his dream job. He was the most enthusiastic candidate to call in and was immediately told to submit his information to the nearest corporate building. Before the recruiter could bring him in for an interview, word had already reached upper management of a strong-headed raconteur and the papers were signed to hire him into an entry-level position. "He's perfect! His amiable spirit is exactly what Outreach needs!" Zax had accomplished his dream of becoming a protector. It wasn't until the next year, during his employee evaluation, that they realized they hired an eleven year old. By that time it was too late to reverse the process. His initiation into the firm had been finalized, and due to an accounting error he was kept on the payroll. The longer the error went unnoticed the higher his rank grew until, somehow he became the Director of Security.



    Clay



    Clay ~ Simple Handyman ~ (Parts Assembler - Tank)

    Lifting heavy equipment was all Clay knew as a blue collar worker and he was easy to extort due to his lack of education. He was physically stronger than everyone at Outreach but his mental capacity didn't match his strength. He will of course say otherwise. Despite his lack of intelligence he was incredibly empathetic. His world revolved around taking care of his two year old daughter and a small hamster that made its way into the factory. Scraping by with the bare minimum he put his paychecks aside into a savings account, but his goal of opening a pet store were crushed when corporate announced their decision to replace all factory workers with automated machines. His only option was to overwork and compete with the robots. The demand from this new work environment caused him to lose his right arm one day, when he gave into his exhaustion and fell asleep on a chainsaw. Ironically, his new cyborg implant enabled him to work at a faster pace and Clay quickly became the only biological worker in the manufacturing district.

    Sarah ~ Bipolar Beauty ~ (Receptionist - Gunner)


    Known as the harlot at her college sorority, there was never a shortage of salacious frat boys for young Sarah to manipulate. Her beauty was hypnotizing like a siren luring a ship towards sharp rocks and no man could resist her figure. She was shameless in using her looks to her advantage, and as her indiscriminate behavior got worse her manic behavior intensified. She was prone to violent outbursts putting any bystanders at risk of becoming a victim. Unable to hold a job due to her unstable mentality she decided to call in a favor from a former male contact. If he got her a position at his prestigious company then she promised not to call his wife and tell her about all the crazy times they spent together. No one at Outreach was hired faster and Sarah became the erratic receptionist at HR.

    Pan - The "Where's Waldo" NPC


    Pan is a sneaky, resourceful, and energetic journalist who 's dream is to write that breaking story that will make headlines. She'll do just about anything to get it too. Hiding in a vent overhanging a boiling insinorator? Sure! Clinging to the bottom of rapidly moving vehicles to track them and get the best photos? Why not? She can be found nearly anywhere, and can vanish just as quickly. A ninja would be proud, to say the least. One of her best tools is actually her hat. The ears work as a duel camera and microphone system that can pick up nearly everything within a 30 foot radius. When it comes to covert operations, she's your gal... or maybe she's not depending on who paid her more.

    Yeah - there up. I liked the stylized art you presented before so I 'watched' this thread waiting for updates. ;)

    Hi again, we're back!

    These are a few more character design and some 3d character images that have been posted on our slack by Yanomeko, Rob, and Dingo. (artist, animator, and character modeler respectively)

    It's a face!! Pan's face to be exact. Yanomeko is working on her model in 3D Coat... Guess I should've shown the basic model first huh? Well, here it is.

    What game would be complete without ZOMBIES!!!??? Yep, here's a Zombie enemy. Modeled by Dingo and painted by Yanomeko.

    Yeah, it's a chicken nugget... sorta. Cute, ain't he?

    Greetings everyone! We know it's been a while since our last post. Sorry about that. We've been going through a few changes which made it tricky to keep up on the social end of things.

    Enough about that though, hey! How 'bout some more pictures?

    First, some pics of Zax with an updated texture. This was done by @yanomeko in 3D Coat

    Our animator, Rob, posed Pan and now she has a rather suspicious looking idle animation.

    These are some UI designs Yano was working on. Sadly, Unity's UI setup as of build 5.3.4 makes it tricky to do slanted health bars like this. So it has been modified a bit. We've recently updated to Unity 5.6, so maybe things will be different.

    Okay, confession time; it's actually been updated since this pick. ViRiX--our sound designer--says the icon on the right looks like a bow tie, so we'll be posting an updated image shortly.

    And now the biggest and coolest thing; We recently attended the East Coast Gaming Conferee in Raleigh, North Carolina and a group calling themselves SpaceBrain Gaming was kind enough to produce a video for us that gives a more detailed look at Fate's Echo and the team behind it.

    Have you considered using an alpha mask or tiled texture to achieve the diagonal hp bar? Good stuff :)
