This looks fantastic. I think I will have to grab this tonight. What is the rocky wall? Is it larger rocks you can connect together or is it a wall as in a man-made wall?

Nevermind I just purchased it and I see that the wall is a man-made wall. Very nice work on this package. I appreciate you including the demo scene as well.

Thanks for the nice words guys!

    Hey Thanks very much :)
Yes it is a man-made wall. I just included a new screenshot which shows this item as well.

There is no secret or particular "magic" effect. It is all about lightening, the proper use of image effects and the assets of course ;) This package includes also some tips for lightening and atmosphere, as well as the demo scene to study it.

    Cheers!

This should be the model that all asset packages aspire to be.

Don't know if you plan on expanding this pack or making a part 2 in the future.... but it would be awesome if you could add even more mountain variations. Maybe even a pack like this but for a Winter season look.

That is funny, because initially I didn't plan any mountains...
During the creation of the demo scene I realized, that mountains made in the terrain engine doesn't look that exciting. So I decided to create some extra mountains to spice up the scene. Though, I'm happy you guys like them. I will definitely take your suggestions in consideration for future updates/new packs. Thanks so much!

By the way. If possible please leave a honest rating/review.

    Cheers!

Could you explain what you meant by " terrain engine will be updated with bump mapping by default" in regards to using the normal maps that you provide on the terrain?

    Sure :)
It is just a matter of time until UT will update their terrain engine. Probably with Version 4. I asked about that here and this was the answer:
And it is very likely that the new terrain engine will support bump mapping.

In the meantime you can go with a third party solution to get bump mapping work on terrain. Like Sixtimesnothing's Script, or Lars Bertram's Terrain Shader So I think it is a good addition if the normal maps are provided as well.

@NiPoCo - just had a look at the webplayer. It's a gorgeous environment - the trees are great, and the texture on those rock walls is just perfect.

Any plans for future packs? Would love to see your take on a "Dungeon" type environment.

    Thanks!

I want release something completely different next time. I planning also to update this package with some more rocky mountains.
But I will keep your suggestion in mind :D

I am new to Unity 3D, still trying to learn the engine. I like your scenery, attempted to purchase but no luck with entering CC information. It would let me input the number and verification code but not the other required fields. Anyone here have trouble with that before?

    Just a quick question:

I want to use this scenery for my university project which will be a treasure hunt. Do we have to build the environment using each one of the assets or will all this scenery be ready to use when we open it on Unity?

I ask this because the main focus of the project has to be around the actions the user will have and we students were advised not to invest much time making our scenery.

The scene comes pre-built. Challenge is it is kind of large. If you have a good video card you will be fine.

As pixelsteam said, this prebuilded scene is included in the pack. You only have to open the scene file in Unity.

But you should be aware, that this is a demo scene only, that does not go much far. It's not a fully fledged open world.

    Cheers!

pixelstream large as in file size or in it´s own world? I don´t think 276MB is not that much.

My video card is a Geforce 9600M GT, i hope i will be fine with that. Also from what i´ve seen in the video it seems i can put a couple of actions around for the user to find the treasure chest.

Geforce 9600 GT is quite weak. Don't expect that it runs blazing fast with that card. The thing is, Unity's terrain with so much trees have a lot draw calls. even without shadows and Screen FX's. You could try to tweak that, lowering the pixel error values and base distance in the terrain settings.

I've build the scene with a similar card. So it works. But not with impressive framerates like 60fps.

The file size itself is not that huge btw.

Thanks for letting me know that i can use my video card with this. It´s not really a big project i want to do, since we are learning Unity in university classes. We are just getting introduced with the basics of building virtual environments.
