I'm updating an old project to Unity 5 and have run into an issue with mic recording.

Previously you could mute the audiosource to stop the recorded mic signal from being output and creating a feedback loop. But now it appears if you mute an audiosource it will also stop playback, so mic input no longer works.

    I raised a bug here: https://fogbugz.unity3d.com/default.asp?730079_cfbs38v9901f4ahu

The use case is real time pitch recognition and/or dsp where you don't want to hear the audio fed back.

    Anyone else noticed this?

    Edit:
It looks like it may not be a bug as such, but as part of the new AudiMixer system?
I can get around it by creating an AudioMixer group, setting that as the output for the microphone audiosource, then dropping the attenuation of the AM Group way down.
