Just an update:
There is now a Google Hangout set to end on 11:59 PM on December 31, 2999 EST. It is generally unpopulated, but it is often lively on weekend nights. You can come and share your screen, video chat, just use audio, or even just use the text chat box. Unfortunately there is a 10 person limit to hangouts, but there often are no more than 6 people there at once. If you ever try to get on and cannot, just try again a little later. People are often coming and going when the hangout is active. Link here.

Ever used Scoop and Doodle? Last night, I was doing a Hangout with one of my peers from CA. Well, I needed to explain something with a whiteboard, so he suggests we use Scoop and Doodle. And, I'm sold! It's a perfect, simple little drawing tool for hangouts!

I have not. I'll look into it, though. Most of us just share screens and use photoshop if we need to draw something. Scoop and Doodle does sound useful, though, especially when Photoshop would be an inconvenience to start.

I am going to get in touch with some members of staff sometime this week and see if we would be already claiming a domain name something like: www.unitychat.com so if you wish to join the hangout or be the first in there, you can just head by. Will make it an easier way for users to get involved in the chats just by going on an easy to remember webpage.

Maybe he wants to know if he can register a domain...? In which case, I don't see why you'd need to talk to Unity. Unless you try to claim it's official, which it's not .

 

Just going to speak with Aurore to see if it would be alright. I know there wouldn't really be any legal issues with it but its just common courtesy.

When's the next hangout? I think it would be good for there to be a schedule.

 

There really isn't one per say. Just come into the Skype channel and ask about doing a hangout. There are always several people that will probably join it. Is there a good time in particular you are looking for?

 

There isn't really a schedule. It is usually started by somebody asking if everybody else is up for a hangout. It's always online at the same address (http:tiny.cc/Unity_Bar_and_Grill), so if you want to do a hangout just ask the Skype group or post here. A schedule would be good, though.

 

I think it would be good to do it on Friday nights. 8PM US EST (GMT -5)
