Same here. But from what I could see, it looked nice... but don't really know what to make of all of this, some infos might be missing.
My fault I suppose. I often work at night. Try fullscreen mode or skip to 2:50, the whole scene is lit up at this point. The smoke reacts to standard unity lighting (colors, shadows, cookies, etc), Blending mode is superior to the one traditionally used by transparent particles. That's the general picture.
