    Hi,

As the title says, I am not able to type the character "\" in Monodovelop 4.0.1 with a danish keyboard layout.
Pressing the key combination alt+shift+7 normally makes a back slash character, but instead Monodevelop types the last word there is right behind where the cursor is placed. Pressing alt+shift+7 once more and the word before the last one is typed instead an so on...

This happens on both my Hackintosh rig and my 13" macbook pro.
Both systems are fresh installations of Mac OS Mavericks 10.9 with danish keyboard settings.

Anyone with similar experiences or a solution to fix this?

    hi jkspost

did you succeed in the meantime? > had the same problem today, solution is here:
    https://bugzilla.xamarin.com/show_bug.cgi?id=6527

in short: Preferences > Key Bindings > Search for 'Dynamic' and change the shortcut of 'Dynamic abbrev'.
i just deleted it, as i am not using it anyway.

hope this late answer saves someone else some minutes searching.

    Hi,
    Thank you for the solution.
FWIW, it is similar with cmd+a for select all - it brings op monodeveloper preferences per default with the danish keyboard.
Deleting the shortcut for the preferences which per default is cmd+, - and know cmd+a is working as select all.
