    Preface:
    =======

    Based on a short novel series (horror-fiction) "The Deadly Onez"
    It will take a lot of time to talk about everything but what I wanna focus on here is this horror game.
    But few words about me:
    Name's Ziad I'm a game developer and designer, I feel in love with gaming since I was a child, back in high school I started to learn programming cause I wanted to create games, any game.
    Holding a bachelor in "Computer Engineering" I started to get into learning different programming languages
    (C, C++, C#, Javascript, HTML, Python, PHP)
    Started using different game engines (Cryengine, UDK and Unity3D)
    And I started my own tiny indie gaming company "Antarsoft" plus I'm a full-time Unity3D developer
    Till the start of this year I focused on working with Unity3D and my programming focus also shifted
    towards C# (which is my favourite language)
    Anywho I created simple mini games and till very recently I finished my first beta game.
    After that I got this Idea of making a game out of a short novel that I wrote, which was amazing
    cause I have one thing solved which is the story of the game.
    I've been working on making this 2D retro horror game on Unity.

    Plenty I said but for now I'll put a link that leads back to a blog to my site which includes
    the latest news about developing this game, also I'm gonna post different materials here.

    Centered text in your post looks somewhat messy and hard to read but... checked out your game dev logs at your site and it all looks great. I definitely like how you are focusing on the game mechanics using just placeholder graphics. I do the same. Initially having a yellow circle for the player and rectangles and such. Looking forward to seeing a video when you get further along.

    Thanks mate for the reply, and yeah I always try to maintain the core mechanics before starting with the graphical stuff.
    I didn't notice the messy centered text, I just fixed it!

    Cheers mate!

    As shown in the picture a group of sprites so far it includes the player's stance and direction along with the environment of the 1st scene on the game :
    Floor, bed, closet, chair, window, doors and a night stand so far.

    The characters of the game are the same as in the book, as well as the scenes.

    Sprites are looking good! what exactly will the player be doing in the game though?

    In terms of in-game actions , so far the player can check, pick, open and use items also interact with other NPCs.

    but in terms of the story, it will be similar to the short novel's plot with additional scenes which will include tricks, puzzles and quick decisions making scenarios.

    TDO development diary 006:
    ========================

    So far we have a player and an environment as in every other game, and we have the buttons 'A' and 'B' which will determine the action relationship between them.

    From that the player has two actions towards the surroundings, button 'A' for checking and button 'B' for interacting.

    But to make it simpler and easier to explain I made this diagram that illustrates the ongoing relationship between the player and the surrounding objects.

    As a person who likes to design icons.... I think it looks good and matches the theme of the game!
    The game mechanics are simple enough and seems like you have the grit of it down
    I'll be waiting for more updates! :)
