Sharing a Work-Around for the Skinned Cloth Black Vertice Issue...

    I posted this as feedback, but decided I ought to share my findings with the community since this seems to have been a long standing issue that's plagued many developers.

    Here's my feedback post:

    Obviously this takes the character out of T-Pose once you replace your character with the copy. It's far from ideal, but it does work...

    P.S.

    Having had some sleep and coming at this issue again, it occurred to m that if you disable your character animator before going into play-mode, you get to keep yor T-Pose and still paint the verts.

    Puzzling. Still looking to understand what is going on with these black vertexes :( .

    Really hope this can be fixed as soon as possible

    Shroud is unusable and hasn't been updated in forever, and the unity default skinned cloth is not an editable plugin, so nobody can see or know what the code is doing either. The documentation for the skinned cloth is very poor, and the black vertex problem is completely bizarre -a bug that's been shipped with every version for more than 2 years now.
