RPG/FPS Project 2014

    Yeah, I've just got to find ways to increase performance, though what's weird is that before I updated the same scene had ~1 million polys at most, but after the update it increased by so much... As for the 20 gigs, I basically have my entire game in there, just got to put the stuff together.

    If you're using a skybox, replace it with a sky sphere: That is possibly what doubled your polys! :)

    Really?? A skybox increases the poly count by that much?

    Sure did on my end! And it's only since Unity 5 came out, so it's a rendering issue... again. :D

    For some reason removing the skybox actually increases poly count by around 1 million...

    Maybe I didn't make myself clear... :D

    I did mean to say that you change your camera clear mode to solid color, and use a sphere mesh for skybox rendering. You can still use the skybox material for ambient lighting, because that doesn't double the polys at all... :D

    Oh, I was confused because I thought that the skybox material doesn't double polys. It's all clear now!

    RTP Update!
    More stuff to come. Though this pic does not do justice for RTP, as you guys can only really see the color map and perlin map, but it does really improve the visual fidelity by 1000000000x ;). And seriously, check out RTP.

    The pause menu is in it's early stages. Expect the first city to come in a few days.

    Probably some tactical view, and or objectives. I'm still not sure though.

    Just noticed it is pause menu not main menu. My bad. You should make the entire right side of the screen the mini map. Unless you are going to have an option to click on the mini map to have it expand. That would be cool too.

    Here's an extremely early look at a city block I'm making, that huge mass of light on the right is an explosion I'm testing out.

    New updates to the main menu. I'm still working on the ai and all that. Though finals are getting in the way of things.

    This part of the map is going to be a part of the actual game. Perhaps part of a multiplayer map.


    This is just an updated area of the main menu scene. You can cycle through the cameras on the main menu. I've updated water. But, I'm looking into a better water solution.
