    Overview:

    In the world of unity, originality is the thing of the past, why? Well, take a walk though the endless threads and take a gander of all of the developments, what do you see? You see the same thread Genre appearing all of the place, people are losing there imagination, copying other peoples ideas, remaking all ready made games and so on.

    So what is it that we have? Well where going to be different and unique and make a Ship V Ship battle game, which has never been done before on unity, well as far as I know.

    Now whats so special about our game, well it's not going to be another boring RPG that's for sure. But how can we make a change, how will we be different. Well for starters we need a good and willing team, we will finish the game and then what.

    Do what every other game development does? Say our byes and part? Well think again, when it is finished, we will aim to create a multiplayer version of it and no its not going to be a full blown version, but a simple PVP, we will aim to add packs, such as more ships, weapons, upgrades, enemies, counties and many upon many versions of the game.

    But that is long off, first aim for completion then for perfection. So now since this is a "Original" idea, we would like to reach out to all users in the unity community, to not join a different game Development which is a dime a dozen, by all means do if you like them but step back and think, what is it that you want to join a game that will be really good, because most rpgs do come out really good, but do you want to join another RPG, or do you want to join a totally different game development.

    Now just to say (if I am not being big headed), that I think this development has got potential and is good fun. but on a side note we are open to other teams, those who outscore. We are happy to join forces with them, so long as we are two different teams, so that JoystickKing gets know and gets credit.

    Game Overview:

    The game will take place out in the ocean there will be 6 islands that you will be able to access, the main one which will be featured in the alpah and beta will be called pirate island, when you are on land you will be balr to walk around go into shops and recruit crew members for your ship, who will be found in the tarvern.

    The main feature to the game will be out on sea. where you will be in full 3d gameplay, you can sail to and from islands doing missons or quests to earn money and so on. You will be able to engage other pirates (NCPS) and you will be able to hook them and order your crew to bored. Fire cannons at each other. the lot. that will be the main feature to the game.

    The genre is a simulation RPG. It's not an MMO, maybe in future but not now. We are working in C# and use the task managment to deal out asignments and also to keep myself up to date with progress, so that when your offline I can still check with what you have done.

    I bump once a day and in order to stop the thread from getting cluttered with useless posts, I delete the previous bump with the new one.

    Also if I may say so myself, you are patrolling the wrong threads, you should be banning Puya, as well as locking their threads.

    Well, honestly , I have a right to an opinion and they are no different from I, except they can do a few things which I can not.

    Also I think that we all can come to an agreement that either way, Puya is a thorn in the community side, is it not? (Rhetorical)

    I'm sure you will, for the game is progressing along smoothly and we're filling our project with lots of modelling goodies. :) Here're a few pictures of my current WIP.

    Indeed we are, The OP has been updated with all new concept art, models and music. We will be like LordJulian said, keeping you all posted, we will updated once a week so this thread can drop low some times. Although we hope to get followers and the following:
    - Concept Artist
    - Programmer
    - Terrain Designer
    - Someone who knows how to use Particle Systems

    We are accepting anyone who wants to join, the more the merrier, but those listed above are the ones we need most.

    Also we will be posting a Ship movement Demo Soon.

    Hello mahdouch99, I am sorry to say that we are using C#, we are not going to be working with Java because C# and java do not like to talk to each other and it will be hell trying to make them to.

    Never the less, C# is more powerful than JS and I don't want to have two different coding languages in the game, as it may complicated things in future if they do need to talk which will mean we will have rewrite the whole code.

    We are going to post videos as well as the web players on out thread, this will be down to because of the time it takes for us to make sure the code works with the web player and also the amount of space it takes up. When we can just create a video showing it.

    We are making allot of progress in the weeks so far, we will be keeping you updated like usual, but we are in need of more concept artists and a terrain designer, who can produce high quality looking terrains.

    We no longer need any more programmers and we are not in any huge need of anymore modelers, although we will accept any one who wants to join.

    24 Hour Bump, Like always, we still need a concept artist as well as someone who know how to use the particle systems in unity, we don't mind your skill level so long as you can do it and get it done in time. When we have got the last couple of people into our team, we will then move this thread over to the W.I.P Thread.

    Please note that we no longer need:

    • Terrain Designer
    • Writers

    Although, we now only need one more person to complete our team and that is someone who knows how to use the particle systems in unity.

    After we have got the last person into our team, we will then move this thread over to the Work.In.Progress forums. Please note that we will accept modelers into the team, so long as you have more than a year of modeling experience, either in Blender, or in any program so long as it has a LEGAL licence.

    Still searching for concept artists, as long as you can draw, we will accept you into our team, as we need people who can draw to people who can create high quality concept arts as well as UI's, we also need someone who is able to create website visuals, not a web developer but someone who is able to create the background, nav bar, etc.

    We have opened this thread back up, as we are in huge need of more team members to join our game development. There is no current cap on the amount of people who are allowed to join the team, but we need people who are dedicated and have experience in the field they are joining. We are making progress, but we need more people in the team to pick up the pace, we only need the following people to join the team.

    • UI/HUD/GUI Artist
    • Unity expert

    (We have to scale my time to your time). I live in California, right now it is around 6:30 for me..
