hey everyone, im working on a rpg project and i wanted to share my current progress. i have a small amount of programming knowledge and teaching myself along the way via the answer forums / references / tutorials .

    about the game:

(enemy and most of environment placeholder sprites at the moment)

inspirations include : Diablo 2 , darkfall online , the nevermore flash game series, minecraft.

my DREAM goal is to make a small scale persistent open world 2D RPG game with multiplayer and PVP. as well as toggleable character looting.

i know this is a TALL order, but one step at a time maybe one day ill get there.

anyways check it out and feel free to leave a comment!

    New AI test !

edit: there is no way to attack yet.. once u die it restarts the scene.

    http://rpgproject.hostei.com/WebPlayer3/WebPlayer.html

also if u are proficient in C# and are diggin the idea contact me !

i could really use a programmer so i can concentrate on the art and animations

    potentially a paying job eventually

I don't really like how the ground appears on an angle, it clashes with the rest of the art.

    New TEST up!

    http://rpgproject.hostei.com/WebPlayer4/WebPlayer.html

you can now kill the baddies and animations sync up and u cant over attack if u spam or hold down the attack button.

try it out and tell me what you like or don't like !

    id love some more critiques!

the ground looks slanted because the camera is a bit higher then the character and since the camera is in perspective mode it gives a depth of field .. there's nothing i can really do about that without changing the one of the key aspects of what i'm going for.

    Loving the new visuals!
Its a bit hard to tell if Im doing damage to him though
And maybe you could have an equip button so you dont auto equip stuff(As I see this being a problem in the future)

This is awesome! I love the art style and the simplicity of it all... It's nice to see that you ditched the 3D.

Keep it up man! I'll be watching :)
