    hey what about some more construction equipment and vehicles to go with that pack ,like crane, bulldozer, excavators, compactors/rollers, ect...

    also associated construction tools like shovel, pick, construction hammer, jack hammer for simple peoples and like a portable (mobile ) generator with lights so that the workers could work at night.

    it would really go a long way to adding value to the set and you could easily increase the price of the pack to justify the cost the additional content.

    Some good ideas there, I really like the generator with lights. Once we have finished the other packs we are working on we can look into increasing existing packs abit.

    oh i got another idea

    in addition to construction vehicle asset pack

    please add

    airport with hanger/tower airplane/helicopter asset pack

    and port with cranes boats/ships asset pack

    and military base asset pack

    every month or so just release an asset pack that goes with simple people

    perhaps its a stupid question, regarding snapping method who to glue the pieces of the simple town together, did you use the default snapping numbers of unity, or a especific ones

    @im - That is currently the plan, this month is military (based on your votes on the first page) we will post a small preview later on.

    @paulojsam - when we first constructed the set we used Unitys vert snap method (V key) but this is not very accurate. The next update, which is in review will fix it.

    @OnePxl - Just roads.

    Doesn't that throw off the scale of the rest of the objects? I love your work, but the scale is such a weird number.

    @OnePxl - It makes the roads wider which is a good thing as the roads were a little tight, otherwise it's not a huge change. Mainly to make the ground positions whole numbers so theyare easier to place.

    Update Live - Simple Town
    - Fixed the road scale issue so pieces can be snapped together easily (use unity snapping settings)
    - Removed animation component on prefabs
    - Added the exerior road to the demo scene

    ** This update will alter the position of existing road pieces in your project**

    in addition to all the packs your doing could you please add simple interiors to existing buildings basic door/window openings and same for vehicles like simple interiors with door that open and windows that you can see through to the simple interior

    if not possible to existing assets ass like that modular or interiors pack that you do

    does the above road piece glue together with the simple town ones, since you already changed theyr dimensions

    thank you!!! I notice the yellow line in the construction road piece, does it glues with another non broken yellow road also

    @paulojsam @im - Have just submitted the changes to the road and a sample scene.

    The yellow and white road match up, this pack also includes a white line texture for the broken road section if needed.

    @syntystudios Is it possible to create roads with more lanes in any of the packs? If not could you update one of them to include something quickly - a one lane white line to white line prefab and a one lane white line to yellow.

    Oh, and I vote for a Simple Trains pack after military.

    @b16tran - We can add this to Simple town on the weekend, send us an email so we can forward it to you (if you need it asap) as Unity take a while to approve anything.

    Currently Simple Roadwork is awaiting an update approval and Simple Town is getting an update soon but is not yet awaiting approval, right?

    This is correct,

    Updates -
    Roadwork is awaiting approval of the updated road sizes and Simple Town will be getting a new road piece to create lanes (ill post a picture here soon)
    Simple people/Zombies - Drawcall reductions
    Simple cars - wheels cut in

    Is it possible to get root motion working, or is that just not supported? -- for the "Simple People" pack.

    I haven't used root motion before, or even mecanim much. I just dragged the prefab on my scene, and modified the SimplePeople controller so that it just always walks... it animates, but doesn't move. "Apply Root Motion" is checked, but I'm thinking maybe the animations don't contain root motion info?

    Yep, this is also on the list, I will add root motion to the animations with the next update.

    Excellent work so far. I'd like to request more random props to put in the scene though. Right now we only have like 3 trees, a dumpster, a satellite dish etc. I'd like to see lots more trees, rocks, scrap parts, newspapers, random sign posts, power lines, tyre stack, fences, bollards, etc etc etc. (maybe even random props the people can hold/wear)

    Also, it would be nice to have some larger road sections that are optimised , e.g. A single tile that does a 90 degree turn, a large straight price etc. I modified these myself to add these combinations, but it would benefit everyone if these were built in, because its a little silly using 6+ GameObjects per tile as we have to do now.

    if these large road tiles were added then I'd also like to see some more complex tiles, like bridges, highways, roundabouts, etc!

    Totally, we have plans to make a few smaller packs with more props and more game type elements but have to finish off what we're currently working on.

    Asset preview - Simple Military

    This pack is shaping up to be rather large (the above image shows a very small slice of the final pack)

    We're aiming to have 15-20 characters with a bunch of new animations, 10-20 weapons, 10-20 vehciles (land and air), buildings, props, terrain etc

    The final pack size should be around the size of Simple Town and Simple people combined and around $30 (should give an idea of how big it will be)

    Can you give me any package specific tips for reducing draw calls with your package? When I import "Simple Town" and add a camera, set it to a basic birds-eye view... I get around 200 draw calls. The road pieces alone are almost 100 draw calls. I'm thinking I need to set layers, like a different layer for the corner pieces, or for each different mesh type, so that they draw in an order that can be batched... but maybe there is a better/easier way? That's what I would do in a 2D game, but this is my first real try at 3D...

    cant wait / very nice!!

    what about adding jeep, looks like it needs ww2 style jeep

    hope pack has military ships (patrol boat, landing craft, aircraft carrier, submarine, ect)

    @shopguy - if you place all the scene objects that don't move under an empty gameobject and then mark it as static (in the inspector top right tick box) and make all children objects also static "Yes change children" the drawcall total will be heavily reduced.

    @im - We have jeeps, not sure about water vehicles at this point but we will see how we go.

    Thanks, that worked, and was easy. I had tried making all of the road pieces static, but not the parent item, good to know that the parent has to be static as well.

    @shopguy - The parent doesn't have to be static, it's just an easy way to make every gameObject parented to it also static, you could select every road piece and make them static also.

    @ZJP - We just want to try out bigger packs, smaller one (roadwork) seem to be useful but want to give people more assets to make games with.

    There will be a bunch of animaions - idles, walk, run, death, shooting, throwing etc
    We will aim to get the pack out in April.
