Reign of legions Is using Unity 3.4 and we Want your help

    Reign of legions was formerly using Hero engine but standards have changed and we have started using unity 3.4 for our project. We have made a team descision in using unity and are now looking to recruit members of the unity community.

    We are looking to find:
    Modelers
    Scripting for JS or CS
    Level designers
    Concept artists
    Writers
    Animators
    Riggers
    texture artists

    Current members-

    [Art Director]:Grey Walker/ 3d artist, texture artist, composer, level artist
    [Marketing]:Tyler johson/ 3d artist, concept artist, texture artist.
    [CEO] Danny Hensley/ character artist, 3d artist, level artist, concept artist.
    [Vice Pres]:Ken/ 3d artist, low poly model artist.
    [Head Prog.] Austin Reynolds / Programer, Business managment.
    [Lead Composer] Jeremiah/ music SFX
    Jon/ The donut guy
    Dave/ Scripter JS CS.
    Casey/ Character concept artist, Writer, Enemy concept artist.

    Here are only a few assets we have built and place inside unity already

    THE STORY SO FAR

    It begins as any other type of game with a tutorial level of complete madness taking over a village, you are a Hunter (One of four classes to choose from) dedicated to serving a higher purpose. These are your people and they are dieing all arround you by these beasts you have never seen before. They are animal in nature and take on the form of a human with the appearance of a wolf. you take up arms slaughtering as many as you can when you notice the church has as well been attacked by these cursed demons. You charge at them noticing a small child in desperate need of your help, noone else can help her she is alone, and everyone else is to frantic to try. you realise the one hope she has is to get away from the village to a safe place but you know the village will suffer for this if you take her to saftey. Make your choice (save her) or (Save the village)...

    SAVE HER
    You grab the little girl and manage to get her away from the chaos, but you hear the screams of the villagers,...'what have you done?' your thinking to yourself but you know its what should have happened. When You return to the village all is lost, every soul, every family, every...memory is gone. There is only one purpose for you now, to destroy the ones who have done this, you pick up your sword and begin your journey.

    SAVE THE VILLAGE
    As you charge at the beasts you hear the little girl's screams in horror as you stray further away from her,...'What have I done?' You think to yourself as the blood of the beasts sprays across your face, you could have saved a innocent life but chose to fight, you know it could have been different but the heat of battle send your heart pounding with such intense high. As you look over the Dead bodies of your enemies you feel such hatred for them, you gaze at the remains of the village and see the remaining beasts have fled. Theres nothing left, every soul, every family, every memory...has been completly destroyed. Your only purpose now is to destroy this evil and in doing so become what you have always dispised. 'Evil can only be destroyed by even greater evil', you tell your self as you pick up your sword and prepare for the most bloodiest battle you have every encountered.

    Leveling up

    Levels are pretty standard when it comes to it, but then there are Ascension levels
    these allow the player to access a power and tranformation that can only be accessed through ascension. Once your characters get enough experience, they become a completly tranoformed being with even more powerful attacks.

    Hunter Ascension: Angelic
    Covnant Ascension: Demonic
    Lycan Asecension : Omni
    Vampire Ascension: Edaemos
    Angelic
    Gives the player Angelic Wings, Halo, and beautiful heavenly armor
    Demonic
    Gives the player Demonics Wings, Horns, and a scarred body.
    Omni
    Tranform the character into a more powerful larger being. With a godlike glow and symbols on the fur.
    Edaemos
    Tranforms your character in a large humanoid bat looking more powerful and giving you more advanced abilities.

    WHAT WE NEED FROM OUR PROGRAMMERS

    To create a complex series of scripts based on Rpg, Leveling, Combat, Quests, networking.

    I Also forgot to mention We are being Funded by a couple of sponsors, as well as working on a website. We are also getting a portion of money through our yourube channels and hope to soon, fund our project more and more.

    If you're funded, this should really be in the Commercial Forum. You'll have better luck if you offer to pay people.

    we arent that funded yet, we only have enough money to put down for our game, most of our team already know this and they arent complaining since in the end it will be amazing. :]

    Zombie Male 1

    there are going to be certain levels of rotting of the zombies based on how long they have been dead and how powerful they are.

    This is a zombie that has been dead for a short period and is now roaming the world in search for fresh blood to sustain him.

    You should increase polycount a bit for some objects and realize bump- and lightmaps when working with blender an unity. By the way planning the RPG engine before starting to model is a good way to prevent impasses.

    Bump

    Wraith inside of unity, we are going for a ghostly look so tell us what you think.

    We are still looking for programers to handle some network based attributes as we decided this game isnt going to be MASS Multiplayer but it will be multiplayer none the less. As we feel our players will enjoy it a bit more and still get to show off their skills with other players. PVP will be available with a type of battlefield genre, choosing to be a certain class then upgrading your class and taking the battle online with your leveled up character.

    i noticed in your models (wandering merchant with bag on his back, and the werewolf) that the center of gravity is kinda off, you should change the model a bit, make them look more balanced...

    ex: the merchant has a big bag on his back, yet he sits like he has nothing on his back, try making him/her lean a bit forward... same with the werewolf, his legs are different, so make some changes to his upper legs so he seems to be in a normal standing position.

    Well these characters are in what we like to call a T position, they are ready for animations, which means if i were to try to animate them in the positions you describe they would be completely horrible looking, its also for rigging purposes if a rig artist try to rig a character that was already posed they would have a rough time trying to get in between areas like the armpits and the back of the knees

    Script we wrote on detailed texture culling based on distance. If your a few feet away the texture becomes a 4096 res texture and the further you walk away it becomes more low res.

    You might be surprised to learn unity does the culling already through its aniso level on the texture settings. Play with this to get the textures to down res where you need em at the right distances.
