Sorry for the lack of updates, guys! Lots of stuff I can't show because I'm saving it for release. That said, here's a small update to the HUD:

I'm trying to play your game using my gamepad with buttons mapped to the keyboard. Since it's kind of a hassle trying to assign buttons and remember them whilst I'm using 2 programs (your game and button mapper), I wanted to reset all the commands back to their defaults. But I don't see a way for me to do that even after I've d/l the latest demo (it still keeps the same commands from the last time I adjusted them).

Please let me know if the commands can be reset to default. I have other interests in your game so I'd really like to experience it properly.

Tons of action. Reminds me of Quake because of how fast paced it seems. The game looked nice although it was hard to see through a hail of gunfire lol

Done? Definitely not, lol. Started? Yes.
Trying to figure out the best method to make a lobby browser. The games themselves don't need servers or a host, ATM, the problem is finding the games.

The coincidence couldn't have been timed better. The moment I get on unity forums after not checking it in a really long time and you post an update in your thread.

Edit: I'm a bit excited for the old school mode but how will you plan to integrate that into multiplayer? Old school vs modern players. Old school settings have increased movement speed and retain good accuracy. The SMG would be almost always better to use in old school settings in multiplayer (and even in singleplayer).

I'm not sure how I'll balance that. Needless to say, though, multiplayer is on the backburner for now. I want to complete the SP as soon as possible so I can release it.

I've been working on revamping the store menu, so it's more condensed and easy to understand. I've also added something else... see if you can spot it. :)

So, since the last update I've managed to ruin the graphics. On the plus side, I have an actual pistol texture but the switch to PBS isn't exactly going smoothly; it just doesn't have the aesthetic it used to.

I think it's looking good though! I've had to put in a fair bit of work into properly converting my asset pack Greeble Kit to use PBR too. I've got it looking right for the most part, but it's been a bit more work than I would have wanted. 90% of the look is in the metallic map so it mostly hinges on getting that just right...unfortunately, the standard shader hides the sliders when you put in a texture so you can't tweak things as easily.
PBR does seem to be a bit of an all or nothing sort of thing though--if everything isn't using it, your scene doesn't look consistent.

I'd probably stay away from PBR until your next game and use the legacy shaders for now, so how did things go on steam then? Hopefully everything is going well.

Thanks for the comments guys, sorry I never got around to replying. I ended up scrapping all the PBR stuff. Legacy it is!

    New update! We're nearing completion!

So I'm considering dumping the Asset Store art and making the environments myself:

Depends on what I do with the art. If I go through with the art overhaul, it will probably take another year. If it doesn't I'm hoping for release in a few months. I'm not sure what I'll do yet. I really don't like working with the Unity 5 lighting system which is key for making the switch work.

    Thanks!

Some more work on the textures. Still not happy with them, but this is what I've got so far:

Just needs some "definition" scratches, bit's n pieces.. Maybe use some emissive materials on the face's etc and mix it up a bit. It's 95% there.. Well done.

P.S how did the Steam release go ultimately?

I think should work on getting the basic materials right first. I mean, what's up with this?

I haven't actually released on Steam yet. :)

Really liking the armor style you got here. The only thing I would change would be the color scheme; first glance I see iron man. But that's just my opinion.

Great work so far on this project; keep it up.

I was thinking that there was too much contrast between how the different colours looked when in dimmer light.

How do the materials look here? Does anything look out of place?

You're doing the same as I do here, obsessing over details that aren't worth obsessing over. There's a metric ton of ways you could make it look better, bump offset / parallax for depth. More variation and I gather the corridor is just a base for now yeah?

But the difference between those two screenshots is negligible at best. Although everything looks fine, just keep working at it :)..

I'd rather get stuff correct now with these few textures, and then re-author the other ones once as opposed to having to go back and change a few dozen textures later on after making them wrong the first time.

Added some image effects, as well as some new textures. Think I may have gone over the top on the vignetting and DoF.

I wouldn't get too excited just yet. :)

The script updater breaks when trying to update my actual project file to U5.

looks nice but a lot of your video say private how can i see them?
If i was you i would release with this enviorment pack then make a custom enevoriment pack for version 2 also with some other updates like (different levels, enemies, weapons, missions, etc)
