Check out our latest Alpha Gameplay trailer from GDC 2016!

    Visit our Steam Page

    Official Website

Survive, explore, and fight your life in a utopian future ravaged by humanity's misguided pursuit of perfection. We're building a massive world for players to explore, with a vast array of equipment and secrets to uncover as you fight to survive. At the moment, we are in a pre-alpha state of development for Windows PC.

We're a team of 7, working day and night to bring our vision to reality. We've been working with Unity 5 through the beta process, learning the ropes the hard way, and are extremely happy with the awesome new features. Enlighten, reflection probes, and the audio mixer are a few that come to mind immediately as major game changers in how we work with Unity today. There is still a long way to go, but we're having a lot of fun making a game that we truly want to play.

    ::Update August 7th 2015::

    TowerScreen.jpg

It's been awhile since we updated this thread! Starting about a month ago, we're been doing weekly Dev Blogs from the team, focusing on different areas of development. If you're interested, you can find them here! This week, our Creative Director Alayna goes over the inspiration and design process behind the PAMELA universe.

We've got another trailer in the works, and are also going to be presenting PAMELA at Unite Boston in a few months! Adam will be talking about our design process from an architectural standpoint, and will also go over our visual pipeline to elaborate on how we're achieving our graphics with Unity 5 (and some friends on the asset store :) ).

There's a lot more we'd like to share, but we don't want to spoil anything else yet! Stay tuned for more updates.

Our next major milestone is a playable demo at PAX South; make sure to mark that on your schedules if you're planning on attending!

    Looks fantastic! Very exciting :)

I saw some pretty impressive reflections in that video. Would you care you share what techniques you're using for those?

The reflections are a combination of Unity 5's new reflection probe system, and Candella SSR. Each store has it's own box projected probe which gives pretty nice accurate results with smooth blending.

Candella looks great but is quite a frame hog, so it's something to be careful about using if performance is a concern!

You got Candela SSRR working good with Unity5? How did you managed that?

It just worked out of the box for us, never had any issues. Did you try using the latest version from the Asset Store? We're using the new deferred rendering system.

It's still a very heavy effect though, not draw call friendly! Although it does look great, can't argue with that.

Oha, indeed, it seems to be fixed with a newer Unity version. Didn't worked in the early beta, but is totally fine now. Thanks for the tipp! :)

Thanks! Getting it working was a bit of a challenge, playing with different animations, proportions, and all that. Since we have full body awareness with a fairly complex Mechanic setup, we had to get creative with different methods of IK for the arms; we're actually using Final IK, which is a great asset if you're working on a character animation heavy project.

Thank you! For Enlighten, we do bakes overnight on one of our workstations. Baking the entire world takes around 12 hours or so, which isn't really too crazy considering how huge of an area that is. We're using a resolution of 1 for the realtime GI, which is a good blend between performance and quality for us.

Hi there, great work! One of the first games which shows the real potential of Unity and this in a damn good way *___*

Could you share some information about your workflow? Which programs did you use beside Unity?

And which Assets where used in production?

As I could see a lot of stuff was done in NodeCanvas? Did you use FlowCanvas or something like PlayMaker/Behavior Designer too?
