Thanks Nightmare Games and LeoSalles, we love getting new followers. This is directed to you LeoSalles. The bobbing will be gone soon, and the model/animations is a placeholder. Thanks for the compliments. Like TVE said, we love seeing this stuff, keep it up :D

I wanted to also mention that I forgot to in the last post, there will still be a head bob in the final product, just a lot more minor. We can't wait to get the beta released to you guys :D.

Hey dtg108. Interesting project you have and its looking good. I was curious, are you guys planning to add weather effects too? rain, thunder etc to make the atmosphere turn more dark and dreary at times? Just curious. Looking great so far!

Hey Shanakar! We aren't really sure yet, it hasn't been thought about much really TBH. It's a good idea. We'll discuss the mechanics and how hard it would be, then we'll see from there. Thanks!

OH MY! I've never been kissed by so many mens at once :D ... I like the zombies! About the camera wobbly thing , I believe that it should remain as a panic sprint - when you have to run really fast and on a short amount of time, but there should be a normal sprint which should be very steady , but slower (like a fast walk)

Tutugah, that's actually a very good idea, I hadn't thought of that. We might use it.

Wow I was looking back at some of your models. What are you guys texturing with because I can do better and I am not amazing at texturing. :]

I will whip up a building, to give an example.

Also, we're not sure what state it will start in, but Kentucky might work, I know a lot of places there that would look good in the game ;)

Alright I whipped up this model/texture. I am going to add some details to building, but it is mainly done. I will continue to improve texture, I only spent 15 minutes on this. :]

We are also very excited to be rank 61 of 3,349 on indieDB. It would be amazing if we could get in the top 10! Please check us out, we'd really appreciate it!

First off, this looks great. Hope you manage to pull it off. The shotgun model looks really good (will I be able to take the knife off if I run out of ammo for better mobility?), but the ladder on the building has too few rungs. And again, looks great!

I will add more to ladder. :] And that shotgun is very nice, I would like to know if it was made in blender, and how it was textured, and what program. :] I have achieved good weapons but that is very clean and neat, I wonder how the topology is. :]

I have to say this, since I saw the post on indiedb, you are waaaaay off, 100 miles with a beta on march and a release still in 2013? Are you EA, Bethesda or 2K??? Even for them it took like 2 years to release a game that its half the size of what you're proposing. Do you have any idea how much is 100 miles? Or how much optimization that would require to even make it run?
Tone it down a bit, see what you CAN do before saying you can! Just my two cents on the subject.

Hey leosalles! I probably should've explained better. The beta will not include anything close to the final product, it will only include some of the map. Also, we've become more realistic with our goals, and the map on release WONT be one hundred miles. It will be smaller, and hopefully over time we can release more maps for the game. Does that clear things up?

sure, my advice make the map moddable or if not that big make it user-made. Look at indie-stone and their case.

Of course, we wont have an in game editor, but we'll allow them to integrate their own maps.

shotgun model is good for first person play, through for third person/non-player view can be more low poly, e.g. on those places, where you place your hand(don't know how its called) can be baked normal map.

Hey i love your project and i would like to give you some ideas for the gameplay and so

1.You could try adding a parkour system, hear me out,you are being chased by zombies and a fence pops right in front of you, without problem you can jump climbing it,of course realisticly(sorry for my bad spelling on that)
2.Something like a hurt system,i dont know ,when you fall from a height you twist your leg,and you walk slower crawling your leg, something like that!
3.Enterable bulidings would be something i would love (Take skyrim and oblivion for example)

And the last one:..............PLEASE ADD A AXE SO I CAN CHOP A ZOMBIE'S HEAD OFF LIKE A MANIAC!
    lol.good luck on the project
    looking good

I can do parkour, infact I am having that in my game, if you check my signature there are links. I plan on having a mode called Hellzone, it will have all nightmarish creatures. Not just zombies but demons, vampires, werewolves, and much much more. :] of course in mine it is survival waves, and wont be as advanced in that department as this threads game. Because I also will have multiplayer/campaign.
