Dont you just hate how hard it is to blend textures in into Unity with having to make custom shaders? I know I do, and it's a relatively quick and simple process for simple objects that I am going to show you how to do...

    I am using

    3ds max 2014
Texture Maker ( I recommend this program) it helps making remarkable textures very fast!
But I am sure Photo shop can do the same stuff, but yeah.

Before and After photo of a model I just did before making tutorial that took about 10 minutes to texture
uploaded. PIC WITH BLUE ROOF IS THE BEFORE PIC. Before.jpg After_1.jpg After_2.jpg After_3.jpg

Not only does this make it where you can texture stuff, but it also applies all your normal maps, Lighting, etc, so you can still get the good effects into Unity with out running more GPU power.

Here is the Video, I hope this helps all of you!

(Not trying to bump topic up) but I found an even better way to texture models, way simpler...

    1. Unwrap your model the way you like
    2. Go to the top menu and click on tools
    3. >> click on Viewport Canvas
    4. You can upload custom textures and Paint them onto your model!
    5. Comes with premade stuff to work with, but if you want custome textures
    6. make sure they are a .tif file or it wont work!!!!
    There you have it!!!!!!!
    Much easier!
