Nice! Can you try to export your game to WebGL? Don't have the webplayer here ;)

I played a bit, it's fun, good job. I'm glad you made is in your Linux system :) Any news about the WebGL build? Take a look at the release note, because you have to install node and some other dependencies.

Very nice! I like the art style, exporting from Minecraft is a novel idea! I suppose Minecraft is one of the best voxel editors on the market :p

    If you plan updating this:
prevent players from running away while interacting like this ^^:

also I would make the 'freed monster' splash screen transparent or maybe pause the game as otherwise you might get caught while being 'blind'.
Also there's some weird shadow as seen here:

Otherwise the game is a really fine small game with a great soundtrack too :D

Yup, we were aware of these issues when we uploaded the game, but when the deadline is close you have to decide what you want to fix and what you want to leave until later. Definitely later! :)

Also the vision cone indicators are a bit ugly, the invisible border walls, some performance issues, etc.

Just tested our in-development project, Tacoma.

    tacoma_unitylinux.jpg

Worked better than I thought it would at this early stage. Can't wait for the Linux editor to be on-par with OSX/Win and be part of official releases so I can use my preferred OS for development. Thank you so much for the Linux support!

I've been waiting for Unity on Linux to release for a long time. The second it did I started working on a game, I just released it today. It's called 30 Second Challenge and you can play it in your browser but I recommend downloading it for the full experience:

Hi, rusty, I play it. It is cool. But there is one thing maybe you forget.
When you press w and d, you will move as 1.4 fast than when you press only w or d.

    Hey guys!

    First, the links:
    Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.MisterStudios.JumboVolley

    Game Jolt: http://gamejolt.com/games/jumbo-volley/93676

    Newgrounds: http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/664101

    [Web versions using WebGL]

It's a very simple game, heavily influenced by "Soccer Physics", that we started to make when Unity 4.6 was launched, but we halted its production to start the game we are currently working on.

Now that Unity is testing it's Linux editor, I decided to take the opportunity to test it by finishing this game. The development cycle was very short, taking about 2 weeks last year for the gameplay and 1 week now to implement some features.

It's a small game, but if it kills a few minutes of boredom or as some fun time between two friends we'll be happy :)

    Thank you!

[Disclaimer: The WebGL builds had to be compiled under Windows, as under Linux there's currently a bug]

Just wrapped up Dashing Dan this evening. Check it out here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nwz.dashingdan

Made in Unity on Linux and in MagicaVoxel, also on Linux but under WINE. I did have to do the release builds on Windows as the Google Services asset was crashing build on Linux, but it was dev'd completely on Linux otherwise.

I made a small first-person shooter on the latest Unity3D 5.1.0f3 Build #2015091501 for the first GamingOnLinux.com Game Dev Jam. I've only spent a little under a week on it, so do bare in mind some bugs are expected and it doesn't feel as polished as it can be.

You can download it from here if you're interested in playing it (GOL Game Jam page):
    http://itch.io/jam/gol-game-jam/rate/40876
or directly to the game's page itself:
    http://myromance123.itch.io/survive-the-unknown

Currently, I've only exported it as a 64bit build. I don't have a 32bit build uploaded. Developed on an AMD R9 390 with the open source RadeonSI Mesa 11.1 drivers on Ubuntu 15.10. Thanks Unity team for the Linux support! :)

Really thanks for anyone on Unity dev team who make this happen :) Never expected Unity Editor would have Linux version, but this is a great news. Tested it on my Manjaro works good except some weird behavior :p.

So the release of the Linux editor inspired me to take my dream project off the backburner, here are a couple screenshots of my off-and-on progress over the past few months!

I made a full blog post with a couple more shots on my website if anyone's interested: http://zakjr.com/blog/homestead-reveal/

I really hope development on the Linux editor continues; I finally have my ideal workflow :)

    Hello Unity community!.

Downloaded and played with the unity editor for linux a bit (tweaking and rewriting shaders made by Keijiro).
Used Visual Studio Code and the plugin for programming (not monodevelop).

[EDIT] forgot to mention that everything is dynamic, not static. [/EDIT]

Here is the result. Enjoy ;).

Ps. This is running on my LFS (Linux From Scratch) system with the latest drivers, the hardware specs are: i5-5200U, 12 GB RAM, HD5500.

Hi sumaoma. Could you tell me how to compress your apk to 14 m, do you do some work to compress the apk file, or just leave the default setting.

I built the apk only for ARMv7 instead of the FAT option with both architectures, checked the stripped assemblies option also. I still think the package is enormous and i'm trying to reduce it even further. The game is being developed in v5.1 (is quite stable in my machine) and built in v5.3 so that the android.permission.READ_PHONE_STATE won't be included in the manifest (Forum Link).

Sorry, but nope xP. Have you tried the unitychan concert demo?. They demonstrate a really neat inplementation of hair rendering using particles. The japanese unity github also has a hairwork plugin (for who as access to Nvidia GAMEWORKS).

Thanks!, im glad you like it n.n .

@Tak I've tried inporting the island demo (from unity 2.6), the bootcamp demo and some other older demos, but they failed to import in all the linux editor builds and crashed when trying to update the project. Im using Ubuntu 14.04.3 mini iso, and installed the editors using the deb package. I've reported the bug ;). Might gonna try inporting AngryBots later (haven't tried that one, and seems to import correctly in unity 5.3.1 on windows).
