Looking for medieval characters creation guide

I am looking how to create medieval characters for my projects. However, I am not sure what would be the best way to search for that, so I would be interested in tutorials, examples, etc., where I could learn the following topics:

1. Character with medieval armour creation (including geometry, shaders, animations, etc.).
2. Creation of swords, shields, other armour.
3. Cloth creation guides (i.e. capes, flags, etc.).
4. Character face (or head) modelling techniques.

I am quite new in modelling characters in general, but I prefer to start with medieval characters if possible. I would be interested to do modelling in Blender, but if you know any tutorials related for these questions in Unity, 3ds Max, Maya, Mudbox, some online tools (i.e. Clara.io) would be also very helpful.
