    Hello,

I am new here and one of developers of freshcoin, opens-source cryptocurrency which is the first one which would be implemented into games. We have freshcoin online system which is not just payment processor it is marketing and production platform. The core of the our business system is making partnerships with game developers with implementing freshcoin into game. What does it mean?

It is innovative structure of using money into games in terms of deep implementing, so gamers are still paying games in $ or other currency (euro) but buying freshcoins inside games.

Benefits of this for gamers are:

    1. freshcoins has 1.00000000 decimals so gamers could buy bonuses, upgrades, achievements for example for 0.00005000 or 0.00000001 freshcoin. That make place for much product assortment into game.

    2. they are fast transaction, less than 3 seconds

    3. game developers are dividing 50/50 earnings so for 1$ for 1 freshcoin game developers earns 0.5 cents.

    4. we have investor fund with 160000 freshcoins ready for implementation

    5. our developers is making API for you, so you need to say yes and I will make contact between our devs and you

    6. we will market your game and you will spread your focus group to our community

    7. $ is payed to you from gamers then you pay to us our 50% divide

    8. gamers could earn freshcoins into games which have real value on exchange- market (if there is game structured for that kind of economy)

    9. freshcoin has volatility regulation in terms of investor fund price regulator

We have few negotiations with game developers right now so this is call to be in this revolutionary idea. Everything you need, our marketing plan and feasibility study, freshonline, our community on bitcointalk and else you can find here:www.freshcoin.net

You can contact me here or on marketing@freshcoin.net

hope we will make partnership and if you have questions about this, please ask

    greets

As per your third point, the value of a Freshcoin is 1/1 the USD. If that really is the case, why would I be interested in offering a IAP in my game for 1/500th of a cent - as per your first example?

With regards towards your seventh point, if you're offering this service/partnership than shouldn't it be expected that your backend would handle the split and payout instead of adding yet another step and obligation on my end of the books?

Your ninth point raises even more concern. If the currency is volatile and can be expected to change then the cost of my IAP can be expected to fluctuate just as much as the value of Freshcoin am I expected to release, possibly daily, application updates with sole regard to reflect the current value of a Freshcoin; or have to hire an economist to handle the keeping of a remote spreadsheet? A little extreme, yes, but I hope it echos my concerns.

At this point, why would I not just add support for BitCoin, a far less obscure digital currency, into my game for IAP - or better yet, stick with the real world currencies that I am using now?

    Thanks for good questions...

As per your third point, the value of a Freshcoin is 1/1 the USD. If that really is the case, why would I be interested in offering a IAP in my game for 1/500th of a cent - as per your first example?

Sorry for missunderstanding...gamers are buying 1 freshcoin for 1$ and it is fixed retail price but you can make product/price assortment into game, for example (for bonuses, achievements, upgrades etc), so it is up to your game structure and could be flexible changed with our API related to agreement.

With regards towards your seventh point, if you're offering this service/partnership than shouldn't it be expected that your backend would handle the split and payout instead of adding yet another step and obligation on my end of the books?

Game developers are not paying to us anything just claims for amount for freshcoins that goes to escrow account and when gamer want to pay in $ for less than 3 seconds through our API (which must be made by our developer) freshcoins is on gamers account. That gamers $ goes on your account, and from 1$ earned you send to us 0.5 cents which we are sending to investors proportionally, everything is automated.

Cryptocurrencies are ill of volatility in terms of big percetage ups and downs. Exchange price cannot be higher than retail price. We dont say that price wouldnt go up as we want to, but it will be reduced in terms that lots of freshcoins wants to be invested and we want to have stable up-trend price. So thats why are we first POM (proof of market) coin which would have dependences of importing freshcoins into games! Price is 1cent right now, we have "space" to upgrade price on exchange, but real plan is usability of coin not the exchange price which is follower of our actions.

Those invested freshcoins are dedicated and cannot be used on exchange markets, just in games. After they use they would go to blockchain again for mining!

At this point, why would I not just add support for BitCoin, a far less obscure digital currency, into my game for IAP - or better yet, stick with the real world currencies that I am using now?

Bitcoin has volatility which you cannot use in your games (if gamer pay something today for 1$, it will reduce its value when btc price drops, or vice-versa) that is the first reason why you cannot use bitcoins. We have dedicated coin which is from its start usable for games. We have Freshonline payment processor. You need to buy bitcoins to have it on wallet and sell it to gamers, so it is investment for you. We have investor fund and most of all great big community which is following us! We are giving you bounty for implementation. This is just new type of investment for your game, which could be offered through partnership. Just buy freshcoins and you can see :)

Freshcoins compared to $ for example offer you more earnings as game developer, more spreading int terms of focus groups (we have big community), you can split that freshcoin in game with more decimals and most of all....gamer can earn money because in phase two we will make dedicated freshcoin games, so gamers through playing games could earn freshcoins (just collecting things or mining freshcoins till playing) which could be changed on exchanges, you cannot do that with $ :)

Thats why we offer something new in terms of playing and usability! Pay services will stay, we are implementing in-game model which is more useful and valuable!

You take 50%? Well established and completely reliable services like AppStore, Amazon, etc take 30%, a pure payment processing solution will generally take much less than 10%.

Why on earth would someone take you up on this? They likely spend more time implementing, they have the risk that your tech isn't up to scratch, they have the risk that your currency goes balls up or they can't get it reliably exchanged for actual currency, and after all that they end up earning much less per transaction than they would have using another method.

If you are trying to grow your business you should be doing whatever possible to encourage game developers. You should be providing a zero effort implementation (drop in an asset store package and it works), you should be making the percentage significantly more compelling, and you should be explaining the benefits of using your system in a way that is actually compelling (there certainly are some benefits to these kind of currencies in a game, but you haven't explained them very well).

We are open source community, I am their representative. We have investment fund for freshcoins and there is more than 300k freshcoins. So it is not me :)

In terms of competition yes investor fund is taking 50% (which is proportionally given back to investors) but you have something in your games which apple, steam and others doesnt have. It is crypto!

What we are offering more than apple and other payment processors is 75% for you in investor batch 2, which will have dedicated freshcoins games. That means that gamer will earn money while playing and when finish game can take it out and take $ or bitcoins for it or just use it for investment :).

Bitcoin has not any relationship with us except on exchange :) Also we dont need bitcoins as guarantee we are different community and currency, dedicated for games! So our acception is more of our negotiation abilities than waiting for bitcoin :) and I can assure you that in every game it will be accepted :) because it doesnt have any matter for using it in games! Gamers are paying in $ but you have freshcoins in games which you can collect!

This is insane. You take 50% of all the value that in-game currency in our games generate....good luck with that. As far as I can see there is absolutely no incentive to use this when we can just get cash directly from the player for a few percent, which is what credit card processors charge.

And honestly what is the purpose of the "investors"??? Shouldn't there be an exchange where $ is converted to crypto currency and vice versa????? Why do we need these shares from "investors" when any legitimate currency exchange should have the crypto currency to exchange for real money on hand already??????????

Exactly. Unless the marketing offer is fantastic, I see no advantages whatsoever over existing systems.

We offers 75% for you for dedicated fresh games, this is in our investor batch 2 which is starting. Si nothing isnt insane. I think that you are looking at it from one point of view. Look at this from this side...

...you have your game in sea of other games which are compete in gameplay. With use of this system, gamer can earn money playing it, now tell me is it competitive comparing to others. Beside, we are doing marketing with FreshTheGame package. Freshonline system is marketing and distribution platform. It is lets say step further and I think we are competitive with 75% in batch 2 with dedicated fresh games? or....?

So now it's 75%? I'm confused. Are you actually saying that early adopters lose out? That's insane.

Either way...it's unrealistic, greedy and unprofessional IMO. You need someone experienced or else Freshcoin will land flat on its face.

I'll take a look and post back once I've read through with some questions.

Can you tell me what makes freshcoin different from all the other hundred cryptocurrencies while I read through this?

It's kind of funny that you're saying you don't need Bitcoin in one posting - and then link to the official Bitcoin forum and say this is "your community forum". IMHO, Bitcoin is the way to go - no need for other crypto-currencies to divide and conquer the movement towards cryptocurrencies.

Where possible, I'll add Bitcoin to my games - they've already shown they can stand the test of time (with all the ups and downs we've had so far). I agree that the volatility can be a problem - but over time, Bitcoin stabilizes more and more. Eventually, it'll be as "volatile" as any other currency - that's just a question of time.

I do not need bitcoin in terms of using freshcoin. We all now that bitcoin go further than any other crypto. I see that as advantage of freshcoin. Another dissadvantage of using Bitcoin is narrowing of users (which are just using bitcoin).

People are not understanding that we are using same users as know with $ and other FIAT currencies (convecional) but in-game you are buying freshcoins, collect them and mine them. That is difference compared to just using bitcoins! When you use bitcoins in your games you are focused just on group of users which have bitcoins and I know from mine and lots of my friends experiences, that spending bitcoins is lets say sin :). So lack of users of bitcoins could be problem, instead of that we have model of forcing gamers to buy freshcoins :)

I see your point - but still consider Bitcoin a significantly larger and more trustworthy cryptocurrency. There's platforms that provide all you need to use Bitcoin but still have people pay with $, if needed. For an in-game currency, I could as well use my own.

I'm very sure Apple as well as Google reject those apps. Even Microsoft was forced with their Office apps to use the IAP solution of Apple.

Beside that I still don't get it. Ok, we have a virtual currency. I mean I can easily do that as well. Give the User a $1 IAP and convert it to my 1,000,000 coins internally. That's it. And Apple takes "only" 30% so I get 0.70$ and not 0.50$ for fresh coins.

    So you said:
See above. Can be easily done by myself.

    Same is true for IAP.

    That's just a rip off.

    So what?

I can use the native IAP solution.

That might be an interesting point, but... there are thousands of sites out there promising the same. ;)

    See (3).

That's indeed an interesting point but you get heavily trouble due to regulatory stuff pretty fast. Believe me.

I don't get that. You mean it's stable to the dollar? Dream on. ;) That won't happen.

    Some more questions:

How about security? Can you ensure that it's impossible to hack your database and just steal some coins?

What about possible refunds? What if a user complains about it. What if anything goes wrong on your side?

Yes, I see bitcoin is in most casino games (which is not our priority), there are few of them where it is used as a payment system. But, bitcoin is something which some of game devs doesnt like to use because of its spread. Freshcoin as a dedicated crypto have advantage as a new one, so it is starting to go in that way. Imagine bitcoin price jump to 3k $, do you still think that people will use it in games? :) We have price regulator as investment fund and good community behind it, also have great plans of upgrading freshcoin, we are something like controllers of it, which you cant be on bitcoin. Our connection with games will move exchange price on, it is like real stock market. You cant do it with bitcoin :)

    @Xaron

sorry for missunderstand. There is things you cant do it right now, like freshonline system, investment fund, community etc. I will say there is more than 1k coins and nobody did this, of course that is easy to do things when somebody else did it :)

    About stuff you quoted:

As I said and talked with Dabeh (over skype) we have investor batch 2 which is more competitive than investor batch 1.

There you will have 75%...of course there is more benefits like earning for gamers, mining till gaming etc. Everything is written in marketing plan which I linked above. About gamers earnings...if you collect for example 1m coins on one level that is less than 1 freshcoin, when you finish game your bonus coins which you collected, you are sending on bter, bittrex to change for bitcoins or litebit to change for euro, I cant see regulation problems :)

About security, we put it on real stress, implementing SSL and 2FA for know all goes well :) there is no guarantee but hey are banks guarantee :)

Our marketing solution is based on selling point FreshTheGame package which have promotion channels (on the door) with new promoline Play and Earn. This is mostly good for getting new focused group of existing groups etc.etc.

There is no refunds, API works automatically, your share as profit is going to you as our profit to us. Freshcoins like other cryptos cannot be intercepted thats why we decide to send you $ momentally :)

I think this is utterly pointless and a complete waste of developer time, energy and more. It will actually harm your efforts to make money. I would have simply locked this thread had Aurore not already said her piece.

I don't think it's something suited for gossip. If you want to create an asset to incorporate your e-coin into games, feel free to do so and submit to asset store (no guarantee it will be accepted). Otherwise I don't see this working. There's no evidence or anything except a vague reference to open source.

You'd waste money on energy and you'd slowly wear down the laptop's inner components (capacitors LOVE to die in machines that are on 24/7 for years). You aren't gonna get much mining done either, the best mining you are gonna get is from the GPU not CPU, and laptops aren't graphical powerhouses. You'd probably be making a cent a day.
