Halo component doesn't work when drawn over sprites

    So in the picture I've added a red halo component to the apple sprite. You can see the halo where there is no sprite background but for some reason it gets rendered behind any sprite in view. The apple itself is many z values in front of those hills.

    So the question is: Is this as designed or a problem with the shader?

    If it's a shader problem does anyone know what I could change to fix it?

    I may be 4 years late, but ihave the exact same problem, did you by any chance fixed it? thanks in advance!
